Mistakes in Russian translation - tutorial (build a pump)

2 votes

> Постройте насос на берегу реки, чтобы обеспечить стабильный поток воды...
> Build a pump on a river bank, to secure a stable flow of water.
"stable flow"? Given we are talking about a pump, it's very misleading. What we need a stable flow for?
English uses "supply" that can be translated as "поставка", "снабжение", "обеспечение" ("подача" is a bad option, because this word is used for supplying water over pipes or aqueducts)

I suggest slightly rephrasing this sentence to make it sound more natural for Russian:
"Постройте насос на берегу реки, чтобы обеспечить поселение питьевой водой."
