Please take the opportunity to use Beaver Power (BP) as a unit of measurement.
1BP would be equal to 1 Beaver in the Wheel.
This is such a great opportunity for world building. I see it's unlikely to happen; I can understand why the devs would say this as there's other, actual things to fix and create. But a change like this is how the game can keep a player in the post apocalypse context. There's no such thing as a horse. The concept of HP is lost, except for the bits of strap metal with HP stamped into it.The only world these beavers know, is a world where beaver power BP is the main measurement of energy.
Do the devs have any reason to stick to HP instead of BP? I personally think BP would be cool.

I think since the beavers build all the power creating stuff, it should be called BP for beaver power instead of HP for horse power. Real Civil Engineer will be very happy!

hp should be bp (beaver power instead of horse power)
Energy should be measured in BP (beaver power) instead of horse power for obvious reasons.
Does beavers do metrics or imperial? THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! (I prefer beavtrics)

edited title for better navigation
This makes so much sense and it's kinda said it hasn't been made a thing yet. Real Civil Engineer (the guy I learned about Timberborn through) on YouTube mentions this a lot as something that would be cool to add in
Change the unit of measurement to Beaver Power (BP)
I saw the Horse Power unit of measurement in the game and immediately thought it should be changed to Beaver Power (BP)
Can this be upvoted and get the Dev's attention and bring Beaver Power (BP) to the Game?

According to Wikipedia, "Two common definitions used today are the mechanical horsepower (or imperial horsepower), which is about 745.7 watts and the metric horsepower, which is approximately 735.5 watts. "However the beaver's power is more Torque, which is a Newton-metre or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joule ; 1hp ~= 745.6998715823 J/sBeaver Wheel ~= 40HP ~= 30KJ/sWater Wheel ~= 180HP ~= 135KJ/sLumberMill ~= 50HP ~= 37.3KJ/sGearFactory ~= 120HP ~= 89.5KJ/sThough the current numbers seem gamified, so the metric numbers might just be the exact same but relabeled KJ/s (though it'd be good for later water flow based adjustment to created power to use believably close numbers).
Huge opportunity missed by not using Beaver Power as a basic unit of measure.
I mean it's the obvious thing to use Beaver-Hand (the means) | Beaver-Head (the numbers) | Beaver-Hequivalent (the cringe ;) ) | … Power, what is "horse" even supposed to mean?
Edit for reference: BHP, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower#Brake_horsepower

I also really want to have BP instead of HP but I completely disagree with the 1 BP= 1 Beaver in the wheel. It would be more sensible to use the power a beaver can produce outside of a mechanical contraption (wheels similar to those of the beavers were also used by humans in early cranes to lift things above their normal capabilities). Therefore, the power numbers could stay the same, and the change to BP would still make sense.
when are horses getting added to the game? Hopefully someone out there is smart enough to make a mod that can change a H to a B
