Better Hauling System
Have buildings get “hauling priorities,” like building priorities. Haulers and idle builders/lumberjacks/etc. will try to fill higher priority buildings first.
Allow haulers to send directly to buildings, for example, allowing haulers to fill up the lumber mill with wood. You should make this a toggle on the crafting buildings, so your haulers don’t send all your planks to the gear workshop when you need them for construction.
Warehouse presets - Let players save a warehouse configuration, for example, a food-only warehouse, and copy it to other warehouses, including ones under construction. Also include a tool to create presets in-game.

groovybearsAdditionally, haulers should be able to pick up more than one trip's worth of goods and drop them off at multiple points. For example, if a hauler is taking water from a pump to a storage tank that has 3 units of capacity left, the hauler will only pick up 3 units of water, rather than picking up the maximum they can each time and distributing it across multiple storage tanks, which would be vastly more efficient. Currently, trying to prioritize water hauling from pumps over to larger storage tanks requires manual workaround.

GrobI would add : make hauler try to minimize distance. I saw one doind a task from A to A' then an other from B to B' while an other hauler was going to A for making a task.
I thought of prioritization for hauler to be an integer like from 1 to 9 (rimworld style), but the copying-building-priorities could do the job.
