Waste, sewage
Where does the poo go?
Suggestion to add waste management. Houses will slowly increase in waste and require a cleaner/trash bev type building to clear it out. Other buildings could generate waste as well.
There could be trash storage, trash incinerators, fertilizer, or they can just toss the trash into the river. Moving water decreases the amount of waste fairly quick but non-moving, dammed river will only increase.
This just keep branching off. Water purifiers could be added to decrease the pollution. Beaver excrements could be used as fertilizer to increase the speed or quantity of crops that grow.
Fertilizer could be a required ingredient for explosives.

Daniel MergedGarbage Dump = like ruins, these structures appear on lower altitudes next to river banks, perhaps polluting the surrounding water. This can be collected by scavengers as a new resource.
Waste = a resource generated by storage buildings at a slow rate. Can be converted into:
Either
Fertilizer = a resource collected and used by foresters to make plants grow slightly faster, or hydrates a single tile of dry land for one-time growth.
Or
can be collected by scavengers again for Scrap Metal. This might be a nice way to get a shredder up faster. -

NyoraiaBeavers should produce poop.
Poop accumulates on tiles where beavers defecate.
Passed a threshold, the tile becomes "foul" (maybe have a gaseous effect build up on tiles?).
Effect of "foul" tiles:
► Beavers who walk into them have a chance of becoming sick. A sick beavers must sleep twice as much and incurs a productivity/strength penalty. Sickness is healed over time or faster with a hospital (new building).
► nothing can grow on a "foul" tile
► surrounding water becomes foul as well, spreading into the water some X distance from the source block
► Foul tiles can be cleaned by janitor beavers (new flag), producing a waste/poop resource that can be stored in a special building (new building: latrine)
► Foul tiles recover slowly over time if no more beavers defecate there.
New buildings:
► Latrine: beaver defecate there if there is one in range. It is also used to store waste/poop picked up by janitors
► compost tank: change waste/poop into fertilizer which can be used on farm tiles -

seanI like how this idea supports how the beaver does things. I also think that beavers should have doctors and beaver specially trained to do specific things

DhossanI was thinking something similar, but more in line of water polution that requires cat tails to purify the water around pumps.
Just an idea, not sure if it's feasable etc... -

GusThis, but also maybe without sewage or "filth" tiles and just water pipes for water management and irrigation! Just had this thought while playing Mountain Range
