Add Steam and in-Game Achievements
Potential achievements:
Lose, everyone died.
Population levels.
Happiness levels.
Flood a building.
Additional districts constructed.
Survive a drought # days long.
Construct a stack of buildings # stories tall.
First dynamite use.
First build of assorted structures.
First collection of a new resource.

Zam! AdminBecaus I forgot to merge the description of "New Achievements", here is what Mango Boat suggested:
New Achievements
When you get to 10,000 power you should get the achievement "WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY" When you get 100,000 power you should get the achievement "MASTER'S OF THE WATER" or "ONE'S OF THE WATER" -

iani have such a backlog of games on steam that i have to limit myself to what games to buy.. one of my rules is to only buy and play games with achievements.. please please please add achievements so i can buy and play this game asap without feeling guilty!

tundwaId love nothing more than steam achievements for this game, the fact that it doesnt have steam achievements as of right now, is the only thing keeping me from buying this game right now and playing forever. If this just had steam achievements it would be the absolute perfect game for me

WoodcrestWhen it adds achievements, then looks like it's going to be an easy 100% Completion game. I would love to see the Playstation and Xbox versions of that game. When it comes with Playstation versions, it would have a platinum trophy so it would be a perfect city building game for me.

wenth MergedI just hit 100 cogheads made for the first time....and if I hadn't looked at the msg in the bottom left I would have never known I'd made over 100 cogheads! some kind of pop-up like the wellness milestones would be awesome for both beavers at a time (I also hit 200 beavers a while ago and didn't even notice till just now)

EBI strongly feel this needs to be a confirmed feature in the game. I'm at about 150 hours of playtime and am running out of playability. Goals to hit on the outer spectrum of difficulty would maintain the game's longevity.
There's a reason that virtually every game has some level of achievements. It strongly maintains player engagement. It doesn't have to be wildly complex, but the total lack will be a serious detriment. -

Gnoll1000 upvotes for achievements! I played a lot of banished, so these are all similar to banished achievements.
Learning achievements:
Survive your first drought
Survive 10 cycles
Store 3 different types of food
Store 6 different types of food
Store every single kind of food
Have 10000 water stored at one time
Have 10000 food stored at one time
Medium achievements:
Have two districts with a population of 50 beavers in each (Additional achieves could be districts with 100, 300, etc)
In a single map, build at least one of every building (or maybe just unlock all? Or both?)
Hard achievements:
Attain a population of 500 beavers ( I got to as far as 350 pop on the huge map before it became unplayable due to lag
In the Diorama map, attain a population of 100 beavers (I am at 40 beavers atm, I expect 100 not to be an issue)
Build a gravity battery at maximum height + connect it
Build all 3 monuments
Achieves can help players learn, and give the game replayability. -

Noe MergedI waited a while trying to save them but when there was nothing to do I was disappointed to see there was no achievement for this! I saw a request for a warning and the game to stop, which is definitely important, but I feel like it's imncomplete without celebrating the player as the worst beaver major

VasGnoll, your achievement about gravity battery max height, the achievement should be "Gravity Drain", where you drained a gravity battery at max height.

Äsitöl MergedIt doesn't have to be anything big, maybe an achievement for getting "Iron teeth" or an achievement for surviving your first flood and your tenth.
Also maybe add some popups when you reach certain milestones, like population. Kind of like Kingdoms and castles did.
Now i understand if you won't add any achievement, it's not too important but it doesn't take too long either. (:

Villskap MergedIt would be a neat possible achievement or 'win condition'.
For weathering an entire Badwater Season with no badwater flowing back off the map / downriver. Water is okay, extract is okay, just got to fully store or refine all the badwater into less toxic substances. It'd make for a fun stretch-goal on some maps.

"Not a Drop Wasted" for Iron Teeth (and maybe no extract exiting the map either) -
