Auto clear resources when placing structures
it would be expeditious to automatically clear trees and plants when placing structures

YobicornI agree. It peeves me a bit that I have to remove the resources manually. Also that I lose resources when ripping up trees, because it doesn't make sense. You would still be able to use the trunk of a full grown tree if you remove it instead of cutting it down??

shingbiIdeally, you would already be able to make building plans even if the resources are still there. But just marking the stuff for clearing when you try to build something on top would already be nice.

AequinoctisAgreed! It is particularly awkward when I mark a space for deletion to place a building or path, then move on to other things while that work is carried out. By the time I come back to place the building or road, there are often a couple of new plants springing up that require removal again.
If placing a building both created the footprint and marked every resource in it for clearing, it would be so much more convenient. -

Aaron MergedAllow us to delete plants and "place" a building to be constructed once the plants are gone, the same way we can build buildings once a platform is placed. Right now you delete the plants, put the priority to max, and wait for removal so you can place the building before you forget what you were going to place.

TThis is one of the necessary improvements IMO. I play the game to plan and build. Without this feature there's quite a lot of just sitting, watching the screen and waiting until they remove some trees so I can finally tell them what I want instead.
