Giant sequoia for late-game Folktails high platform equivalent
The folktails are all about being good stewards to the environment. In keeping with this theme, I suggest a late-game technology for the folktail faction - the giant sequoia or giant redwood.
This tree would provide a late-game equivalent to the iron teeth's giant metal platform but without relying on metal.
The tree would be planted as a sapling and would take huge amounts of water and time to grow. It would also require constant hydration and die completely if it dries up. Once it is fully grown, it would be taller than a large metal platform and it's branches would be big enough to put structures on. The main draw-back is that the beavers have no control on exactly where these branches form and, unlike the metal platforms, the buildable areas are split up.
The folktail beavers on seeing a giant sequoia would get an inspiration bonus.

Kenneth FerlandI think all the trees need to be larger, even if our beavers were as tall as a human the trees are tiny, and I imagine my beavers being about 4 feet tall, aka perfect Dwarf height. So trees should be spaced a few tiles apart, or atleast need some spacing to grow to full size with the full size trees reaching several floors high. Then a RedWood would be looking at bases that cover several tiles and hights of a dozen or more floors.
