Shaped dynamite charges - explosives for digging deeper and wider (multi-level)
Please add a dynamite tier-2 option that will dig down 2 levels instead of just one.
Projected cost; 2x explosive, 2x planks, 1x water to create the shaped charge cone that redirects the blast downwards.
I added the water to the recipe because IRL breaching charges used to blast open walls without hurting anyone standing nearby uses water to redirect the force of the blast.

David C Bollingermaybe also do a 3 tile deep variant as well? it would be a nice quality of life thing for those of us who want to do big terraforming.

doomvaderYeah this seems great. curently trying to dig a big reservoir is tedious and not very fun. placing the layer, letting the whole layer of dynamite being built than building a staircase down, placing the next layer and so on for a while and requiring frequent management. A least, the blowing up part is fun no matter how often you get to do it.

Babayaga8888 MergedI am experimenting by building canals. It is time consuming, but a win win scenario. You don't need water dumps. Just build underground canals and in a 16 square radius of the canal, the soil is moist.
But, making the explosives blow up just 1 cube deep is very very time consuming. Wish the devs implemented a bigger bomb. Like blowing 2 cube deep or something -

Tony MergedHave "TNT" a stronger form of dynamite that can destroy 3 blocks down. It will take more resources to "craft" and another late game industry building.

Chris Luiten MergedYou can also just unlock 2 and 3 lever TNT that you don't need to craft, but just needs 3 stacks of TNT to create. Easier to implement.

Eccentric Warmonger MergedI've got two suggestions:
1. Add the ability for explosions to take out more than one block under the explosion. Similar to Minecraft where TNT blows up a huge area of the map.
2. Allow explosions to destroy paths, buildings, etc. This would come in handy for quick map manipulation. For example, I want to carve out a new river, instead of removing all of the stuff I've got on the map, allow me to blow the $hit out of it. LOL. Okay, but it would be cool to use the explosives to remove buildings and stuff.

Atomicpotato MergedDetonating dynamite is fun. Bigger explosions are better. And it's pain to place dynamite button when blowing up a mountain. Please consider adding bundle of dynamite which can blow up multiple tiles at once. Such as Bundle of dynamites: Literally bundle of dynamites powerful enough to blow up adjacent nine tiles at once.

Alfakr0ll MergedSame as ordinary dynamite but can remove 2 or 3 depths at the same time. So you can quicker get to the depth you want to, and not having to wait for several round trips with micro managing to get the hole done and then start building there.

cyazirisI have the experimental mode enabled and this is a great addition, except it doesn't seem to work fully yet. new build options are available, but all of them are currently still only detonating 1 block deep. Looking forward to full implementation!

Gin Fuyou Admincyaziris that's not correct new charges work perfectly (unless there is an unknown bug). Perhaps You've placed them too close to lowest level of the map? Game doesn't prevent placing two-deep charge if only 1 layer can be blasted

cyazirisYes, I was just about to make a correction, I am indeed on the bottom level of the map. It seems this particular map is pretty shallow, I only dug 1 level below the current riverbed, to what is also the lowest naturally occurring level. I notices I couldn't place any new dynamite on that layer, so I guess that's all the extra depth I'm going to get. My bad!
