Graveyard Building, Cemetery (Social/Spiritual Need, Record of Passed Away Beavers)
As the title says, I think a graveyard of some sort would be a good building to add. It could fill social and/or spiritual needs to some extent for beavers to visit passed away family members, and it could be a good place for a menu that shows passed away beavers by name, age and time they passed away, maybe even contributions they made in some way. Having a place to mourn is an important thing for a culture, and it'd be nice for the player to be able to look at past beavers that contributed to the beaver society.

Seizan Mergeda graveyard where dead beavers get burried and others can mourn. Could also be a new bar for beavers to satisfy. I find it a bit unsettling that my beavers just die somewhere and rot while everyone else is working like nothing happend.
As a bit more advanced idea: mourning could be a need of the beavers with a negative effect (if not satisfied). Given they have social life fulfilled and there are is certain amount of deaths in the district. -

Michael Mason MergedSome place to bury the recently deceased. Doesn't need to be fancy, just have haulers carry them to the cemetery. Maybe have it help with social life as it is an aspect of all life.

Nathaniel Moss MergedCurrently, I can't click the "died of" notifications,
I suggest adding gravestones that last a day or two.
When a beaver dies, sometimes I want to know WHERE they died, for example, because of starvation or thirst. -

Abaddon Lancaster MergedThings this could do:
1. Raise spiritual levels for beavers
2. Give the deceased somewhere to go- if bodies stacked could make other beavers unhappy until the bodies are buried
3. Gives "loved ones" a place to grieve. -

RachelWithin proximity of graveyard, add a monument to the deceased beavers lost to drought, starvation, or other disasters

Jaco3011And also bonus to life length - proper burial decreases spread of diseases through dead bodies.

Beaver BaristaIt'd be cool if the building looked like a burial cairn.

Mileston MergedWe have witnessed the birth and death of beavers, and I think the living beavers will miss the dead beavers very much.Beavers may need a place or building to remember them

Axel2191 MergedIt would provide an additional means for "well being" because you are honoring the forefathers that created the initial start up of the community.

Rompin DonkeyUpvoted. Perhaps dead beavers could remain in place for a short time when no graveyard available which could then have a negative affect on living beavers mood stats?

Leo MergedSo at the moment dead beavers just despawn. Boring!

Alternatives:
Folktail-exclusive: Graveyard
- Employs one or more graveyard keepers whose job it is to go out and collect deceased beavers and bury them. Due to sporadic deaths, they may function as haulers in their spare time.
- Should we return to a more intricate needs system, could provide Beavers with some form of comfort on visit, that they know they will rest peacefully after death.
Irontails-exclusives:
- Corpse Grinder
- Self-explanatory, corpses are rendered down for bonemeal/fertiliser for farms, or another purpose. Seemed appropriate for a faction which seems so detached about birth already.
- Courtesy of Roger Rogue on Discord; Brain Transplanter
- Dead beavers are taken to the BT and their brains removed, ready for insertion into a special golem chassis (alternate recipe). Second life for the beaver as an improved golem. Potentially only doable a certain number of times.
Alternate IT ideas welcome. -

RonBeavers deserve a Viking style funeral. All beavers should take a moment to gather at the Temple, say a few words and then set the dead guy adrift down a river where his Viking ship catches fire as he sails off to beaver Valhalla. Although, perhaps each beaver faction might just have their own customs....

CurryChen MergedWe should consider engraving the names of the dead beavers and their birth and death years on the monument for easy viewing. Their name should be remembered.

RaemonI like this because it also makes death feel more meaningful – if when beavers died, they didn't just disappear, but actually leave a body behind that maybe causes illness and grief if left unburied. In addition to being an interesting challenge, it'd make me feel each beaver I lost.
I like the idea of a tech-tree of graves that start with quickly disposing of bodies but end with venerating them in a way that adds spirituality to the tribe. -

rastroYeah the beavers having their name noted and cause and date of death would be interesting.
And statistics like graphs marked by cycle. Like cause of death starvation, thirst, old age, contamination, and just chart over time.
