Suspension Bridge as Path for Building Purposes
Since floodgates can't be built on top of, I typically build a platforms to form a bridge along the path of where I want to build floodgates. Since unlocking the suspension bridge, I've tried building suspension bridges instead of platform bridges to build my floodgates off of, but the game says the floodgates are too far from paths for builders.
Could the pathing be modified to recognize suspension bridges as paths for the purposes of building?

Beaver 2 MergedSince on the base of suspension bridges one cannot build a road builders cannot access something you want to build adjacent to a bridge.
/ perhaps only an issue near the edge of a district, happened with a 1 tile long bridge.
Since this tile works as a road for other purposes, it should be possible to use it to access building sites. -

WrymyI'd consider it more of a bug with the bridges pathing system as it worked one other way. I built a canal structure and planned on using a double 3x1 bridge to allow access to the other side to connect to another set of buildings. I was informed the other buildings which was working prior to the only access being via the bridges was no longer connected. I ran a test and placed a bridge down and then a path in line with the bridge and had a path appear in the anchor point of the bridge. When you place a path parallel to the bridge the path wont form and connect the areas. ( Ex: A bridge from the anchor point going from right to left, a path to the right of the anchor point will connect and form a full path, a path placed north or south of the anchor point wont work and no path appears on the anchor point.

Gin Fuyou AdminWrymy, please post in corresponding thread or a new one. But I really don't see why people think there should be access to the bridge requiring hoping across ropes.

Pazetta MergedUsing Suspensions bridge to build damns or things is very convenient in the late game period. I think this should be updated in the near future.

Grzegorz MergedHi, I have a situation like on screen. I cannot build a dam because the bridge is not recognized as a path, so my hardworking beavers "can't" complete the construction. It is possible to fix this? I think it will be usefull change. 😄
Sincerely, Wengor -

Daniel MergedIf a beaver stands on the starting tile of a bridge, he doesn't reach construction site. If replaced with e.g.levee, it works.

Andara MergedSame as with stairs, it is currently not possible to build down/up from standing on a bridge. I think it should behave the same way as if standing on a platform (why should beavers not be able to reach as they normally would?)

Jundiyy MergedStairs and Bridges, please allow beavers to build on the sides of them. Don't know why they can't do that, both are counted as paths in the end.
