Beaver Kindergarten/School/Daycare/Playground for Kits
Beaver kits just run around the map and have nothing to do, they don't even have cute idling/playing animations or anything. I think it'd be a nice touch to give them a bit more to do, via adding buildings such as a kindergarten, school, playground, or similiar concepts. It could fill social/fun needs or give other slight benefits. Mainly I'd just love for them to have something to do while the adults work.

It would be a nice touch to have other options for them that they’ll prefer, like playgrounds, or even schools that they can be assigned to like jobs. XD -

RyvrePlayground maybe but not school. The beavers would be in trouble if they warehouse their kids like humans :/. I suggest: have kids often randomly pick an adult and follow them for a while, waiting outside any building the adult goes into.

When kits are born they go to nursery until age X. Then school until age Y. Then they either start working or can be sent to a higher level program. Kits who finish school are better workers. Kits who finish a higher program are the only ones who can do science (or at least generate extra points. Uneducated beavers generate 1 point, educated 3) or specialized jobs. Jobs could be things like engineers who make powered systems work 10/20% better.
Playgrounds keep kits happy which makes parents happy. Need something for older kits too. Maybe a sports field where families could all get a boost. -

FluddyMaybe have some play animation e.g. catch that fills social needs and different kinds of playgrounds (different seizes, different materials) that do social and fun. The "Follow Grown-Up" idea could also be cool. Two random beavers could be assigned as there parents which they like to follow most. Maybe kid beavers go earlier to there homes e.g when it get's dark. Maybe they could climb buildings or stand starring at cool/interesting buildings? Maybe it could have benefits if beavers had a playground in there childhood like that they are less needy?

It will not be implemented again unless the problem is solved. But Ryvre's suggestion seemed interesting. I would love to see an idle child beaver following an adult beaver.
By the way, the developers are really throwing away a lot of building models. I hope they recycle them later in the form of mods or something. -

Grey Kylia MergedI made a post suggesting higher levels of housing and recently had the specific idea for a daycare for the kits. It has been suggested before, I saw, but that was long before 2.0 and the change to well being. The purpose of these specialized and more expensive houses should be obvious, to drastically speed up the growth of the kits. The IT name is to keep the military type names of housing.

I imagine the model to be quite large, 3x4 specifically, with a small building on one side (2x3) and a small playground on the other. Ideally it should be instantly noticeable that they are growing faster so something close to +5 wellbeing when living in the daycare or training camp In addition to the normal bonus of shelter. Numbers naturally can be balanced as you like its just my idea for it.
I also found someone showing the picture of the old Nursery building that you guys had made, that model could be an easy plugin for testing. I will attach the picture so no one has to go find it. -

Maria and BogdanI also liked the idea of a children playground. It's a pity that the kits are useless now. There could be festivals for them, specific decorations, christmas edition with a santa-beaver for them. There could be places with workshops for them in order to learn specific skills that could improve speed and efficiency while adults. A whole "social" life for the beaver families would be wonderful to have.

LaurenIf baby beavers go to school perhaps they could become skilled in certain professions and be more effective in workplaces that generate science. Certain mid/late game buildings could require skilled workers. Could also add an option to switch it to a trade school that would produce faster farmers/tappers/resource gatherers etc.

They work a little faster, able to get slightly higher wellbeing score than early game and it gives science points a place ? This wellbeing point(s) is permanent
1000 gives +1 5000 gives +2, etc or something like that, you select what the school consumes/cycle at any point
The more science you allow the school to "consume" the higher the "work smarter" wellbeing goes. -

The kits play at all the built social areas throughout the day while the adults are working. So the benefits of the Lido, Campfire, and Carousel, amongst others, just start to pile-up for them. It is more likely for a kit to be maxed out in all these areas then for an adult. So just adding social areas in general ends up being a major boost to kit well-being. -
