Beavers should be able to Swim Up & Down without Stairs, and Paths should be irrelevant to swimming.
I appreciate that beavers can swim now, but the logic is still too much like walking.
A beaver can only reach deeper levels of water if there is a staircase down. That doesn't make much sense. Granted it will make pathfinding more complicated, but it is quite weird and unintuitive to need to make stairs for travel underwater.
Additionally paths underwater allow beavers to swim further. Again I understand why that was easier to implement, but the gameplay feels wrong.

antonAgreed. I thnk the beavers should have some kind of water entry/exit points and ignore pathfinding (or have some kind of special water path-finding) while under water. Water sped influencing swimming speed should also be good. This will make it possible to create some kind of "beaver accelerator" to quickly send them to work.

AlexAgreed, but it's even more impacting when terraforming underwater, beavers (or bots in this case) become stranded just next to an underwater path. which does not make a lot of sense not to be able to swim away.
