Slowly gradually hydration and drying process of the ground (irrigation, soil moisture)
When the water was dry from the river. Soil should retain moisture and dry more slowly, and conversely when water came back the soil should also hydrated more slowly. At least a day should retained for the soil directly near the river

Gin Fuyou AdminYeah, it would feel much better than "instant wasteland", also could work with https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/222546/regenerative-agriculture-foliagebased-groundwater-retention

Tray MergedImo, Dirt should take at least one an in game day (or half?) to dry out completely.
Similar to what we have now but just extend the time to dry.
Right now it dries up way fast. -

pinguinzz MergedMake soil absorb moisture, removing part of the water on the water block and have it contribute to evaporation, maybe even make that soil lose moisture over time instead of just on-off if water nearby.
crops and trees could change this evaporation as if they where absorbing water too
That way one block water dumps would become WAY less of an "exploit"
Rebalance evaporation numbers tho -
