FuryoftheStarsI do feel as though the small single beaver house should be unlocked from the start or eliminated. It serves no purpose otherwise, unless you’re OCD and want a pop that’s not a multiple of 3. Well, I’m actually leaning towards eliminate. The idea of your first unlocked house not allowing breeding could be deadly early game, and certainly serves no purpose after the next house is unlocked. I don’t like being left with useless building options.
However, the concept of these other houses I don’t feel as though fit in the style of either available faction at this time. -

Grey Kylia MergedSince the wellbeing system has been simplified to just add +1 or more to the wellbeing number per each new thing we could easily have a higher tier of house that gives more well being for living in them. Currently every single housing option only requires logs to make, the only restriction on them being science to unlock. This leaves the options wide open for new housing options that take planks, treated planks, paper, or perhaps metal to make for added bonuses.
I would imagine these houses to give the same basic 'shelter' bonus but also another labled 'luxurious shelter' just beneath it that is hidden untill you get it, similiar to broken teeth. I imagine the well being number to be +2 for ones with just logs/planks and +3 for any that have metal/treated planks. Perhaps +5 for those, but i feel that might be excessive.
I mostly just want this because we can use the same houses throughout the entire build if planned properly. I want a reason to remodel my housing other than vani -

FuryoftheStars MergedTheoretically, current 6 & 9 beaver housing (for FT, at least) could be repurposed for that.
I say this primarily because, while I do like the idea, I don’t think we need 10 different housing options…. -

CrisisSDK MergedOr perhaps instead of the 6 and 9 foxtail housing having extra wellbeing bonus, the single beaver shack thing having the bonus. Because currently that thing has no reason to exist.

Fluddy MergedMaybe you can better the houses through furniture (needs to be made with planks) and lamps (needs to be made with metal) and plumage (needs treated planks). Then the beavers could upgrade there homes and could get luxury from it - until they can't replace broken things, then they get normal housing again. Maybe make everything last 5 cyrcels or so?

Grey Kylia MergedHavent played for awhile so sorry for delay but anyways, I agree on not needing 10 different housing options. I was merely saying that none of the higher tier construction materials was used at all, not that i wanted a new house for each one. For FT specifically i would definitely give up the triple lodge and the 1 beaver house for some higher tier house. The 9 beaver lodge has worse wood to beaver occupancy than the double and there is very little reason to use it unless you are lacking the space for 2 double side by side but have space for the triple. As for the single... i've honestly never bothered with it since it can't help increase population. Takes 2 to tango as they say
As for IT i still think they could have higher tier houses, maybe name them something like Captain's Quarters, or Lieutenant's Hall, or something to keep with the military style housing names. The general idea though would be the same, a more expensive house that gives more wellbeing but houses fewer beavers. -

Eriewmatay MergedI like the idea of some higher-qualitied housing.

Jeebles MergedWith the vertical build design I could envision a type of housing that has more than one entrance. A 3 beaver home but it fits into the spot where a single beaver home is now. I also would love to see "luxury" or higher tier housing of some sort outside of just that idea.
