Add more "grades" of Tree Growth visual
As it is now, Tree growth happens very abruptly.
You have a tiny Tree, then a looong time of nothing happening, then it sproings into a medium-sized Tree, and then another looong time of nothing happening, and then it sproings into a full-size Tree that is ready for harvest.
Or something like that. Something like only 3 sizes.
My suggestion is, given the huge importance that Trees and their growth have on the game, being a core resource, to increase the number of graphics/models to depict at least 5 growth phases and preferably 6 or 7. This will make forests, whether natural or planted, look a lot more "natural", in that all Trees don't fall hard into one of tree very distinct and blatantly different size categories.
Obviously, this is a man-power intensive suggestion, requiring a graphics artist to put in hours of work, as opposed to game mechanics design, but I do genuinely believe it'll result in a better game.
Better looking, better feeling, better.

Gin Fuyou AdminI think you are taking it over the board, I think general idea is nice, but 5 phases is already too many in my opinion, let alone I don't think anyone will ever notice 6-7. For a start, I think we could just scale single model gradually in-game. I'd much more like to have a different models of same tree kind, like birch with single trunk, branching maple, leaning pine...

Mark HoffmannI agree that trees and crops would benefit visually from more phases in growth, some farming games show different models for each crop at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% growth. This would be better than the current 0% to 100% jump in my opinion.
