New hazard: Plastic junk
Sometimes the river brings plstic junk, that clogs the dams, waterwheels, pumps, opened floodgates e.t.c.
The clogged structures need to be repared.
The plastic junk is harmful to water plants
Plastic may be used as a resource.

Jexadoxi wouldn't mine the natural spawning under specific conditions of the natural dam. perhaps, if the water dries out completely it can spawn those against objects in the river on the spring side, such as against waterwheels or bends in the river, ect.
but please don't add it as a political push. no one wants to play relaxing fun video games that preach to them about issues of the world. it would be very likely to push me from playing this game. -

FluddyMaybe do it as a weather hazard. Like, with a flood or a heavy storm there comes debri down the river (wood & plastic) which clocks up small passages/whater wheels/pumps and then you have to send a beaver to unclock. I would make it a little water holding, too, maybe like a dam? I don't think the nature beaver faction could/would do anything with the plastic, maybe by them it would just dissapear after unclocking and the wood would need to be transported to storage or they need a trash place or something like that (I would like the first option more). But the Iron Teeth could maybe use it for water holders so that beevers can have drinking bottles with like 5 water or so on them or use it for entertainment buildings e.g. plastic duck fishing or use it for mashinery. Maybe make pipes out of it that can transport water? Or like post pipes, to send small items fast from A to B!

- I have kind of strange feeling in the endgame. The reservoir is built. The crops are growing, no one notices the drought any more. I look at the happy beavers for a while and understand that they do not need me any more. That's good i'm happy for them. But it's kind of boring (for me as their leader). That's why i thought of some end-game challenges and hazards.
I did not mean to preach. Honestly! There are human ruins. So there is human junk. It's chems, oil, plastic, radiation and metal. Metal is in game. Toxic water, raidation and oil have been suggested by others. So why not plastic... -

"Maybe do it as a weather hazard. " - My vision exactly. Some times the river just brings it. Randomly.
Using plastic as a resource is a good idea.
