water dump never runs out of water
I am using 3 water dumps and have turned off all pumps in the district, but the water dumps never run out of water. All my tanks are still full even after running the game for several hours.
I have made sure to check that no water is imported into the district

Jcheung Adminhow much time ingame has elapsed exactly. what is your test setup. more details and images would be useful.
it takes around 3 hours at normal speed full fps to go through 5 units of water in a 1x1 tile... -

AlexWhat level are your beavers ? I noticed that for a 40 level they are so efficient that they don't even need to drink..maybe that was the bug

Jcheung Adminwhat? they always need to drink

AndrasI only have robotic beavers in the area.
Several cycles have gone by.
Not sure what to do about pictures since there's nothing special going on mechanically.
I have never seen a water dump be less than full and my water storage never goes down.
I am not pumping any water and the only thing I have which uses water are the water dumps. This is how I got to this conclusion. -

Jcheung Admindo you have a distribution route going in?
can i get your save? or if you don't feel like uploading it somewhere and pasting the link here, send it direct to the dev team using the instructions on the pinned suggestions. add a detailed description of what's going on (or not going on) with that save file if you email it in. -

Jcheung Adminso i see 6 water dumps active in district 7.
save start 7188 water
passing 3 days, 7182 water
only seeing dumps as water consumers in here, so... looks normal to me?
passing a few more days it dropped again.
not sure if just loading your save breaks it out of a bug or what, but can you double check?
select district 7 on the right where it says global view, then hover over water to get a precise count. -

AndrasI can see that some of my tanks have lowered slightly, but still les than I would have exspected.
it could be that it was fixed by a load.
my understanding is that a water dump uses 3 water every hour.
with 6 water dumps this would mean 18 every hour, 24 hours a day. This is 432 units of water a day.
The district holds a max of 7200 units. this means my water supply should only last 16,66 days.
I have run at least full cycles without gathering more water and I still have 7k water in the district. -

Jcheung Adminwater dumps do NOT use 3 water per hour. they only use that amount if you're dumping the water over the edge of the map AND you're able to supply that amount.
a contained 1x1 tile capped with a water dump will consume the initial fill plus around 5 water every 22 or so days.
7200 water will last you over 200 days.
