Tutorial is not acknowledging the placement of a water pump even though it is within the district and connected

It shouldn't really take ages, just make sure you have at least 2 lumberjack flags and trees marked for cutting and builders should finish it pretty quickly.

oh, its not MY post, sorry !! so, im totaly ok with it.. water pump, not for water-beavers... for water extract pump !! ... i think it is the question nah ? !

I think he wants to talk, like me, about the water extraction pump, not the water pumps so that the beavers can drink! ...

I never used it: because I never understood what it was really for, or how it was used... it seems to me that the dikes are sufficient, I never found the usefulness water extraction.. so yes, some explanations are missing.. maybe not a whole tutorial! ^^ .. but a little video or a much more detailed explanation anyway .. WHAT IS IT FOR? ... WHERE IS IT PLACED? and again, WHY? x'D..

(otherwise great work for this build-game, I hadn't enjoyed this type of game so much since Pharaon 199X!! )

tutorial does not cover the usage of the mechanical water pump. OP is talking about the drinking water pump.
