click and drag not working on mac

I have a Magic Mouse for mac, but click and drag is not working at all. I can zoom in and out, but cannot otherwise change the camera angle using the mouse. Visually the mouse moves around the screen just fine, clicking on menus etc without a problem. But in the game it's nearly nonfunctional.
I have tried all suggestions for changing both in-game and Mac system settings on Reddit, these forums, elsewhere. I have tried all three modes of play (including Mac Workaround). The mouse works fine on all other applications.
