FWIW you can kinda do this currently using the Timberborn Save Editor (https://charperbonaroo.github.io/timberborn-save-editor/) - start a new game, build a storage of each type (water, logs, warehouse), save, then open the game in the editor, and set all resources to e.g. 99999, save, download and load the modded save. Once your buildings are built, the resources will be there automatically. Example: https://pasteboard.co/LPUSVTrcWS1k.jpg

Having a native Sandbox Mode will be awesome though!

I would love a sandbox mode where we can use 'cheats,' such as 'build w/o resources,' 'all research complete,' etc, but disable achievements for sandbox mode.

I think the game could really benefit from a sandbox/cheatmode with unlimited/changeable ressources and maybe the option to spawn beavers. It would allow for easier testing of all the possibilities of the game, which would allow for better feedback. Also some people enjoy the option to just build their city and enjoy the little beavers roaming around in it.

A sandbox mode would help to learn the mechanics. I've repeatedly found that my assumptions where wrong (especially about new content I haven't got to before), and suffered setbacks, and/or lost colonies. I'd like to be able to play around with the stuff to see how it all works in a separate game before committing major resources to find out it's not quite what I thought.

This gets my vote! Sandbox mode and/or a map editor / map creator. It would be so much fun to start with a blank slate, be able to edit terrain, add water, trees, metal .... etc. :)

OMG yes!!! If I want to try an idea and I don't want to kill my world I have to open a trainer(cheat tool) to create a test world where I can unlock all tech quickly (read speed 99 for 5 minutes)

A more chill and easy-going mode for people who want to create all sorts of crazy towns and what not...

Have various options for players to set certain settings (unlock all, infinite resources, etc.) and start a map.

An sand box game mode whould be useful for people who want to experiment or make eazyer plans for a specific map and see what are the limits with no qonsequences.That's why I vote with this idea I hope I see something close to this added to the game.

A creative mode may be a good edition to this game, as fully built up towns can look really nice, but getting there and planning it out can be difficult. Obviously it is much more satisfying to build a town up with the usual game mechanics (or even more satisfying when you up the difficulty), but it can be time consuming and difficult to visualize.

My suggestion is a mode or difficulty in which resources are unlimited so that you are able to just mess around, maybe use it to plan out your main save, or to create something beautiful.
Being able to freely place buildings without worrying about resource management can lead to insanely creative builds, and can also give me something to do when I only have an hour or 2 to play and can't sit down for a full game.

An different option is to make a creative faction where they have "creative" storage, or infinite storage. Basically, a water tank that never runs out of water, a warehouse that's full of every resource, etc.

My reason for a Sandbox mode is that sometimes a game comes along where the animations and concept are so entertaining that I just want to create an environment, without limitation, that lets me build easily and then sit back and enjoy - but it also inspires me to want to do it again - legit and with more stuff after I have seen the possibilities and learnt skills along the way without too much grind.

Sandbox mode --> I fully understand that the whole point and charm of the game is to plan and strategize with resources, etc, and that's why the buildings and features are blocked and unblocked over time. However, it would be great to have Sandbox mode as well. Many players are in for making the cities efficient, with a visually pleasing layout. That's it. The locked buildings are ruining it for such players. What I'm currently doing, I'm placing multiple knowledge/science centers and letting the scientists crank the numbers up and I wait until I can unlock everything and then I start playing for real.
