Make floods have more consequences over buildings
Currently, flooded buildings are simply incapacitated while they are flooded, once you remove the water they are good as new. Maybe floods should be more dire (like have the building need repair).

Zam!I would love to see more flooding mechanics. One, to not only have "Solid" and "Ground only" properties of buildings, but also "Watertight" for some, like lodges or small warehouses, to make them survive flooding without damage, while buildings like farms, or factories would require "cleaning" or "maintenance" by builders or laborers after they get flooded.

Jcheungas long as short duration floods don't have too severe an impact (there's areas that get like a 15 second flood around .04 depth per cycle because of reflections off of dams and levees)
i agree that bigger ones should require repair, or maybe based off of depth? .25 or higher to actually damage? -

CGII was playing around with flooding an old village because I liked the idea of having flooded buildings below the surface as I moved my beavers uphill. Maybe a game mechanic where the buildings become overgrown and unusable after a given time? the opposite of how plants dry up if away from water for too long?
Maybe there could be a threshold like jcheung suggested, where a building is repairable up until it has been submerged for x amount of time?
(Love this game so much!) -

NetherdanAlso, storage buildings should have some kind of item loss due to flooding. Some food should spoil, most if not all paper should be damaged, logs/planks should be relatively fine with maybe just a few rotting, some metal scraps and a few metal blocks should rust. These all being just flavor text with the actual effect being that the items are lost as consequence of the flooding

DRY411S MergedAs a penalty, resources should be spoiled and lost by water damage in flooded buildings (including warehouses). The longer the building is flooded, the more resources would be lost.

TimetheosIf there was a downvote, I'd use it. These are beavers. Beaver lodges often have underwater entrances.
