Distribution Post doesn't work (distibution limits are set correctly)
I'm playing with the Iron Teeth.
I have 2 Districts, one of which has an abundance of logs. I tried setting up a route to transfer those logs to my Main District, however the beaver simply sits on his ass and doesn't transfer any logs.
You can see in the screenshot there are also routes for wheat and potatoes, which the beaver has no problem of giving away, but he simply ignores the logs, even when there is no wheat or potatoes.
tl;dr beaver doesn't transfer logs.
P.S. I tried altering the amount of workers, and I also tried removing the route for wheat and potatoes, however, the beaver still doesn't carry any logs.

MrDeyvis MergedSame problem over here. Whole economy is breaking, bc they dont wanna do anything. I also tried building more Centers with specific tasks (2 Centers for distributing Woodlogs, 1 for Water... etc.)... In this disctrict, 4 woodlog piles are full and the beavers still dont bother to carry anything to another district.
EDIT: As i saw your Screenshot... you might have configured low wrong. Seems like you have 0 Water in the District, where you want to distribute from.
In my case it seems to be configured right, but they still idle. -

Alan Nikola NewtonI have a very similar issue.
I have 4 districts, each with 1 or 2 distribution posts. Some distribution posts are functioning correctly, others are not.
For example, the distribution post in the district called "upstream" has a route to district "East" to carry logs. There's plenty of log storage in "East", and plenty of logs in "Upstream", but all 8 distributors of "Upstream" are just sitting on their tails. Really frustrating.

DariuszI also have a similar problem.
I have 2 districts, one produces logs to be carried into the other, as i have no logs production in it. I have empty log storage wanting 180 logs but the distribution post sits on 300 logs and doing nothing. When one of my production buildings needs logs, the worker has to walk all the way to the drop off platform to get it. This is really frustrating and game breaking for me as the worker spends more time walking to get the logs then actually working. Productivity suffers tremendously.
I was planing to set up a third districts just for production, for the logs to be carried from one via second to third. With this logs bug/issue i think i have to abort this plan. Seriously frustrating. -

electrocatalysisI have the problem with not just logs. However, it might be that the bug happens because of the logs.
It looks like my Distribution post just compensates the difference between current and limit value, taken at the start of a day, and then stops bringing more resources on that particular day to that particular drop point.
This is my save: https://www56.zippyshare.com/v/oBlywjWz/file.html
I've created a topic, but messed up with the name, so you can delete it: https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/221217/the-hauling-post-doesnt-work-properly
Or merge with this, but it should be renamed... -
02 Oct, '21
electrocatalysisI've watched what they do and got next:
Some worker goes to eat (or drink?), he comes back and doesn't continue working, just sits down at the door. At that point the Distribution post stops working. Other workers just finish their current run, come back and go no more.
I haven't checked a lot of times, but I have a feeling that previous times there were the same situations, because I saw as one worker went to wrong direction (where food and drink were). So I think the problem is just like I described. I don't know why they do like this, but they do... -

FredThis happened to me but I fixed it as I realised that the drop off points have a capacity of 300. So if you're overwhelming your district with imports its better to create several drop-off points as to not overload capacity.
Once the drop-off points are at capacity then your beavers from the distribution centres won't haul to export. -
08 Oct, '21
SnoopyTiga@ Fred's post:
That doens't fix it for me.
The drop-off point is completely empty. 0/300
Even if I add another new drop-off point and set the route, nothing will happen.
Either way, it's a (kinda gamebreaking) bug =/ -

Ryan AndersonI have a similar problem. I have two districts, one named "Pine's Fall" with most of my population, the other named "Yukon Farms" with all of my food production. I have distribution posts in each as well as drop-off posts. Going from "Pine's Fall" to "Yukon Farms" There isn't a problem with logs, planks, or gears. But going from "Yukon Farms" to "Pine's Fall" the bevers will send one trade route in the morning of food (mainly grilled potatoes), and then just stop sending them food. I've checked that the path is clear and connected. The high Discrtict limits are set high (300). They have storage space in "Pine's Fall". They have an abundance of Grilled potatoes in "Yukon Farms". Yet they will only send one delivery of food and cause some of my population to starve.

Niels Bouman MergedHi there,
the way my infra works is that i have a lot of districs that create stuff like wood and food and they send everything to one storage district that equals everything out. The problem im facing is that the storage district distribution point sometimes doesnt do anything and i have no way to see why. -

HAL9081 MergedDitribution does not work for carrots and berries so far. I tested it with planks. They got distributed to my only other district. But carrots and berries do not work at the moment. All my cute beavers died of hunger of that bug. :.(
PS: You should add possibility to simply upload savegame / logs with this bug report. -

Gin Fuyou Admin MergedSorry, but provided description is not enough to easily identify and reproduce your issue. Please send manually a bug report, containing more info as described here: https://mechanistry.com/bug I had no problems with distribution among numerous games.
We have no control over featureupvote, or we would change quite a few things about it. -

peterpickI'm having the same bug, but with water. All other goods are imported and exported as defined by the low/high-values, but water is not. I tried reconnecting the districts, or pausing and continuing the distribution center, or even installing 8 routes just for water. But no matter what I do: Water is transported not at all, or: Only very, very occasionally. It seems like the beavers in District 1 don't give a damn while my beavers in District 2 are dying of thirst. It really is annoyingly sad :-(
Fun fact: It used to work fine since 1-2 hours ago, but it somehow broke, without me doing anything to the water import/export settings since then.. -

Prestonas many people before me have stated, I have this bug too with food. Strangely it's only effecting the food district though. My main city still ships to my district for metal gathering/processing

PrestonPreston here, following this happening to me (as I mentioned early) I searched around a bit and I found out what I suspect is the issue with every single issue we’ve been having
Drop off points have a “max amount” of something that you can give to them, what I suspect is happening is that we think that the max that they can import at a time is 100 (base amount) but that’s actually how much total supply a district has is. So if your district already has 1000 carrots, and you try to ship over 100 carrots from your newly built farming district, they won’t ship it because the drop off point tells them not to ship it if they have over 100, which they do, so the beavers just sit at the distribution post. -

DeathypooFound the problem... The Distribution post seems to have a hidden storage limit that is shared between all materials. So my distribution point picked up planks, saw there was no place for the planks to go right now based on low/high settings, and *left the planks in the Distribution post's storage*. Storage eventually gets full of planks (or other things that aren't delivered), and now the workers think there's nothing to do because they can't take goods into distribution post (it's full), and they can't take goods out of the distribution post (there's no where for them to go). So now I want them to deliver water, but they won't do it because they need to take water through the distribution post... which is full. The "fix" is to cancel all routes and they bring stuff out of the post and back to normal storage, but it's a huge pain to micro-manage routes like that.

DeathypooNevermind... still not working. More info:
District A has water set to low:500, high:1500, and has 1800 water currently.
District B has water set to low 200, high:1000, and has 0 water currently.
District A has a distribution center fully staffed with only one route - to bring water to District B.
The workers in District A are idle at the distribution point while beavers in District B die of thirst. -

Matthew OlsenFIXED. This fixed my problem. Updated Main district Drop off point Logs limit to infinity, and my second district mediately started transferring logs. So obvious now. Thanks!

ArnaudurHi There. I think i have the same issue.
As you can see, i have 3316 logs (rondins in french) in district 3.
Only 753 (or 884) in district 1.
I'm trying to get logs from 3 to 1 but as you can see, the beavers are idling... I show you the distribution limits i set. I tried a lot of different things, that's the last one.
I have my save files ready but i don't know where I'm suppose to send it. I'm ready to help a lot on this one as it's veryyy frustrating. -
08 Apr, '22
Gin Fuyou AdminArnaudur with that many logs, do you have storage space in the drop-off point? Also do they not work at all, do only one trip per day? Beavers won't go second time if destination is too far
-
09 Apr, '22
Gin Fuyou AdminArnaudur, ah wait, first you had min limit set to 1500 and 884 log in stock in sending district? Then it's how it should be - minimum limit is limit when beavers will stop sending goods keeping "reserves". Distribution UI is clumsy, I told that devs a few times I think they have it noted down.
-
11 Apr, '22
ArnaudurHi Gin Fuyou, to be clear, here is what i did :
The unloading site was 1500 / infinite
The distribution had 0 / infinite
I haven't change the unloading site
And i've set the distribution site to 3000 / infinite
This seems to work. Is it the normal behaviour ? It's hard to adjust those datas in 2 differents places.
The more i play, the more i question the usefulness of districts. I believe the game would be better with no range, no districts.
Also, i noticed that when you migrate beavers from a district to another, the oldest ones are selected. When your second district is not as developped as the first one, they often die during their first night... Painful. -
14 Apr, '22
Gin Fuyou AdminArnaudur on your first screencap I believe your 'low' limit is higher than stock, it mean district "reserve" is not filled.
Districts are unlikely to go, but I'm pretty sure distribution UI should. For something more handy and intuitive.
Also for starting new districts I had this suggestion: https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/273617/builders-camp-quickstart-for-new-districts-or-temp-building-site -

slyCheck your drop off point if there is no more room they can't deliver any more goods. hope this helps :)
