Kaden MergedThis only seems to happen sometimes during the day. It may have something to do with the distribution posts but I am not sure. As soon as it becomes night, when everyone stops working, it instantly shoots up to 60 FPS. When it is the day my frames drop to under 5 FPS, not joking. I do not know if anyone else is having this problem. I do know that it is not my computer because it can run many other games at over 180 FPS. After future inspection, I think it has something to do with the speed of the game. When I put it on max speed and the middle speed I get like 2 to 7 FPS. As soon as I put it on the lowest speed I go right back to 60 FPS

Gin Fuyou Admin MergedThere is a limit how many busy beavers hardware can handle, specifically if you increase the game speed. Also that why at night it runs faster. Devs are working on optimizing the game so it can make better use of hardware.

Gin Fuyou AdminIt's not sunlight, it's beaver logic.

TharganI'm seeing similar behaviour as well. It seems to get worse as the total number of beavers you have increases, with the frame rate eventually dropping to 1 at around the 1300 mark. It then recovers over night, but only when the beavers have all gone home.

TharganUpdate to this, having started a new map, it looks like FPS starts dropping off from around the 300 beaver mark. Though it's not noticable at this stage unless you're looking at the FPS display, as my usual 60 FPS is bouncing between 53 and 57.

ChabbawakiDown to 3 fps. 244 beavers, cycle 59 day 10. 9900KF & 2070s. Picks up to 60fps after dark.
CPU and GPU usage seems to drop below 10% when everything slows down and goes up to 30-40% when running at 60fps.
Playing at 4K, but dropping to 1080 doesn't seem to help. -

Gin Fuyou AdminTry optimizing your storage, remove desired amount everywhere you don't need it, disallow goods where they are not wanted. Cutting down needless pathfinding may improve performance.

Tackleboy Mergedthere seems to be a bug where the frames drop very hard from 130 to 20fps during day and its coming back to 130 during night.

Gin Fuyou Admin MergedIt's not bug, it's just how calculation load is increased during working hours.

MFYFPS drop during daytime. When the sunlight gone, the FPS recover right at that moment, even all the beavers are still working.

Katya NemchenkoExactly the same problem. 600 beavers. At normal speed 38 fps, at second speed 5 fps, at third speed generally 2 fps. Everything returns to normal at night.
The laptop does not heat up and does not buzz. These are clearly problems with the optimization of beaver's work during the day.
