Performance inconsistent [merge pending]
Hey,
I have very inconsistant performance. My map has a population of ~500 beavers and a huge dam and its very much unplayable on 2x or 3x speed. Today I even had issues in 1x speed with even less beavers. My system should not be the bottleneck. I get the worst FPS drops right after the beavers start to work (maybe work queue system oversaturated?), ofcurse during autosave and depending on beaver counts at 17:00 (when setting worktime to 18 hours).
If required I will gladly upload my savegame for you to test.

Gin Fuyou AdminNot really sure what is inconsistent here, large amount of beavers stress CPU by personal calculations like pathfinding, which often splkes at the start and end of workday, but also depends on other factors. Some optimizations are planned, but no dates. But it's might stay a typical bottleneck of the game, even if for higher number of beavers.

VensonThat is the point, it is to be expected that larger populations have a performance impact but yesterday i had worse performance with 400 beavers than with 500 and i was running 1x speed instead of 2x. That is inconsistent und very much unexpected

Gin Fuyou AdminWell, it still may happen. Ok, if performance difference is observed after reloading and restarting, please do submit save files with corresponding commentary, maybe devs can debug it.

Vensonhey, it has been some time since i have send you a save file per mail. Today I wanted to try timberborn again and the issues not only persists but got worse. What is the state of the performance issues?
