district gate is distribution and drop off point
District gate should be the distribution /pick up centre
it should be the pick up and drop off point and hold a decent amount, i don't get why we're double handling, i wouldn't mind seeing a 'markety' looking place as the gate.
I think ppl would be more inclined to use another district if you didn't have to build a gate 2 distribution centres and 2 drop off points along with it.
...The UI could just have one district name on the left, the other on the right, and a slider for each resource, slide to the left past the middle line and it will try to stock the desired amount form the right, so slide to the left the arrow aims left and slides up a number, so u can dis and drop at one stop? :D
and hitting the x stops /holds or
I would really love to see something like this in place, the set up at present is a little heavy :/
:)

Gin Fuyou AdminSo distribution post should be or district gate?
Is it like https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/216541/two-way-distribution-post or different?
Sorry, I'm a bit confused here... ^_^" -

Bob ismeWhat i'm saying is turn the gate itself into the distribution/drop off centre, instead of having gates and then the things that have to be there anyway, (each district has a minimum of 1 drop off and 1 distribution centre) make them all one, you remove 4 buildings of code, i mean it's what's happening now, but just with extra steps.
That being said the post you linked is close enough to what i mean anyway, so merge away :D :P -

FoxI like the idea of combining a district gate and the distribution! I imagine you could have something like this: https://i.imgur.com/klWIxXg.png
Basically it's a building that would sit on the border between two districts, acting as both the gate between them and a distribution post, receiving resources for both districts. Haulers would take the resources from there to warehouses etc.
I imagine this could have a few benefits:
- Aesthetically pleasing/more grand division between districts
- Beavers only have to travel as far as their district borders to deliver resources
- Trade between two districts could be configured all in one place
- Potential for limited "instant trade". Stock already in this building can be swapped between the two districts instantly, limited by the storage cap on the building. -

Adam BartaHi,
As I see district gate does not actually separates districts. My workers still hauling material over the gate to the other district's construction site. -

Gin Fuyou AdminAdam Barta, that is correct district gate separate road networks, builders operate in proximity of roads, so they still can build around the "border"
