BUG mac sleep freeze

if i close lid and computer falls asleep on 2019 mac book pro running 10.15.7, newest steam, non-experimental release (v0.1.5.2-773c83b-sm), the game upon reopening becomes completely unresponsive. to the point that a force quit from taskbar isn't possible. it just looks like its trying but 5 minuets was all i was willing to wait. however i can close with apple menu- force quit.
game state doesn't seem to matter whether editing map or game play. i don't get a crash per say just won't respond to input.
screen opens to where i left it but can not interact with the game. mouse moves and can tab out, out and in doesn't change, have waited ten+ minuets without tabing out for response with no change.

as i didn't find anything similar after a quick search, im guessing its just me. has happened four times so far, i will likely change so i don't let it sleep while in game anymore but thought you should know about it.
