medicine not being delivered to medical beds
hi team I have noticed but the medicine is not getting to the medical beds When The Healer is paused
for example I have 300 medicine made and it's stored in the warehouses and I've prioritised with haulers enabled on all my medical beds
but the medicine is not getting taken to the medical beds
it only gets taken to the medical beds once I enable The Healer
it then takes the medicine out of the warehouses
thought you could look into that

only beavers working at the healer building can deliver medicine to beds.
disable warehouse storage of medicine and keep the healer running. internal storage is more than sufficient.

Mac Eriu MergedThat was my problem. I was using one district too make the medicine and then distribute it to the other. Fix it by put putting a healer in that district and distribute the flowers instead.

Mike D MergedThis still doesn't seem right, I have about 1400 medicine in warehouses but haulers won't touch them, and I can't pause the healer to burn down my inventory. I've had to resort to turning medicine off at every warehouse to stop them taking over all my storage

MasterBeaverI added my vote to this. With the recent nerf of the injuries, one healer produces so much medicine that you can supply 200 beavers and then still have surplus. Now the warehouse gets full with medicine. It's not delivered to the medbeds when you pause the healer, but when you enable the healer, you get even more medicine. Doesn't make sense if you want to control how much medicine you produce. Currently, there is no way to control that.

Micah GThis is definitely an issue. I have 3000 medicine clogging up warehouses and 30 beds with sick beavers and no medicines. It doesn't make sense. I'm about to send the meds to a warehouse and then delete it.

I think that DOES make sence.
Drugs are not carrots. It's not enough just to bring them to the hospital. You need doctors to prescribe the drugs to the patients. Imagine giving the key to a drugsotre to some folks who can not read. At best it would be uneffective.
So the real issue is a poor balance between the drug production and patient care. I love you, devs. Really. And i know such issues are inavidable. But they are still issues and have to be fixed.
Having a priority task setting (healing or brewing) and stock limts can solve the problem.

Cameeb MergedI had the healer building paused because I didn't want additional medicine to be made since I had 200 in storage. But because of that, the beds were not receiving medicine. Why can't the haulers deliver the medicine from the storage to the beds?

MangoBoater MergedWhen medicine is in a warehouse it isn't delivered to the tents where injured beavers rest. I sent 100 medicine to my second district only ten was put in the tent the rest was put in a warehouse. The medicine in the tent ran out and was never resupplied.

_Forgive_ MergedI had 800+ medicine in a base so I paused all medicine factories. Then no medicine is delivered to medic beds, and the wounded had to suffer with no medicine to consume. As soon as one medicine factory proceeded working, some beaver began to deliver medicine to the beds.
Is that intended or a bug?

-pause the production of medicine
-prohibits medicine in all its deposits.
-create a new deposit, only allow medicine in it.
-fill it and destroy it, repeat until you destroy all the medicine.
- Finished the previous steps, reopen the production of medicine and keep all the deposits without permission to have medicines. Only the healer will transport the medicines now and can only deposit them on the medical beds.
Bonus: If you're an iron tooth, ban dandelions in depots. It will prevent unnecessary accumulation. -

MarcYes please! Having 3000 meds and ongoing production is resulting in another full warehouse even with a set max limit. Stopping the healer results in no meds for the beds even with thousands stock piling. The healer needs def. a bit of refining.

ScottThis is a problem as the healer makes more medicine that is needed so it ends up taking up all the space in the warehouses, but never gets used. My warehouses just end up filled with excess medicine that no one will distribute.

Tom MergedI produced over 150 medicine, then stopped production as there was way more than I needed. Then i noticed that the medical beds were not getting replenished, after many cycles. Thought it was just a lack of haulers, but then when I restarted production the beds were immediately refilled from stock and not from the production building. Seems strange that I need active production in order to distribute in demand goods.

R M MergedI have noticed that the Healer always has very low productivity, ie <15%. While watching the healers behaviour, I notice that units (beavers and golems both) are leaving the Healers hut to move medicine from the hut to storage> from storage to medical beds. Is this intended behaviour? Is the intention to require districts to maintain a high number of healers?

PiManI think there are two equally valid options here.
1) Make it so haulers (or maybe patients?) can deliver medicine to beds.
2) Or make it so warehouses can't store medicine. (maybe ever, or maybe just by default)
In the current setup, it would be a very weirdly set up town if you had a healer that could focus on medicine delivery from warehouses, instead of relying on the small stockpile in the Healer building.
I'd prefer the first of my two suggestions, but I understand that might not be your preference thematically. -

ThraexAs i don't find a way to upvote this thread i'll just comment it. A fix would be nice, this can't be intentional. Having a healer in every district? Oof. Would be great if you would be able to just produce medicine in one district and deliver the finished meds to the districts and healing beds. Took me several ingame days to realize that haulers are afraid of medicine while my 120 beaver colony is suffering 20 injured beavers right now. But thanks for the info, i'll place a doctor in each district then. Sad to loose workforce though.

R M MergedI did search and didn't find those. So the requirement for very large districts then would be to use large numbers of healers. I do typically play custom with all the hard bits turned off, as I prefer to just build crazy settlements. I shall adjust play accordingly until it changes, unless it stays the same; then I'll keep playing with my updated SOP. :D

BronzeOxI had a similar issue after transporting medicine to a district that doesn't have a healer. it just sits there in tanks and never gets distributed. :(
