Distibution Post workers get thirsty and hungry too often with new needs system
I generally like the new needs system but one aspect of the more limited positive values is that distribution post workers get thirsty and (less often) hungry much more now, causing them to move slowly. I think they should either brings some food and water along with them, go longer before getting thirsty or hungry, or at least grab something to drink or eat at the destination if possible before heading back (currently this would sometimes cause them to make the next trip with just one item to replace the one they drank/ate, although hopefully this will be improved as well so that they prefer full loads).

Jcheungmaybe distro posts could hold 5-10 units of a random food and 5-10 units of water as feed stock (with a minimum of a certain amount present in the district before stocking them), and distro post workers can top off on food/water before heading out if they can consume a unit of food/water without wasting any?

RyvreGood idea. Combining your idea with my first thought, maybe the distribution post requires food and water but rather than just eating it directly the workers hunger and thirst doesn't change while delivering (possibly a "trail mix maker" building could supply this food). This could avoid them needing to carry multiple items while still working with long trips. If they just top off with one food they might only ever eat one thing. I was often seeing the distribution post workers thirsty even when the drop off point was < 80 tiles from the distribution post (which is on the district edge), so I'm not sure just drinking before leaving will be enough for long trips that take the whole day (maybe if also drinking or eating as needed at the destination).
