Game stutters on full speed still (update2) as settlements grow
There were a couple of performance improvements in update2, as the session is growing, the whole game becomes pretty much a cartoon still, however I've noticed a couple of differences compared to pre-u2 symptoms:
- During night the performance is all right. It's only lagging during daytime
- Slowing time down to 2x or 1x still improves the performance somewhat
- UI interaction becomes laggy and lossy. Sometimes clicks are lost when it's lagging, and have to pause the game, do whatever needs to be done, and resume the speed.
- The CPU is still being hogged while the game is paused, apparently on all cores.
It partially feels like if renderring and simulation were tightly coupled, one affecting the other's performance.
I will send a save as an example where this happens.

But game can use only 2 cores. -

Nando@Gin Fuyou : I don't think this is quite correct, the game uses (at least) 8 cores on my system: https://forums.mechanistry.com/topic/5086-very-poor-performance/#comment-8112

Gin Fuyou AdminNando, that is information directly from devs, your test is not a solid proof, no graph shows utilization close to 100% and processes may not be fixed to core exclusively, a few high-load game workloads (like pathfinding) are not threaded at all

Heartman36I'm having game and frame slow down between 300-400 beaver workers ( around 30 bots included ), extensive power generation, a lot of industry, spare storage. and frame rate is dropping from 130-80 down to 34 FPS. This is ONE district.
Got hung up on medicine distribution with healers, and had to figure out THEY deliver it. so I had to change and put medical beds behind healers instead of spread out across the map.
-- Wish there is a better way of helping control water levels automaticly without changing the flood gates all the time.
-- also trying to figure out what is the right ballance with industry and how many hauler beavers are needed. -
