Beaver personality traits for a little more individuality
Mabe give beavers random small random personality traits, just to give them a little bit more individuality? Just small buffs and weaknesses. So, a beaver migth generate with 0-2 different traits.
Some ideas:
• Potato lover: will eat mostly baked potatoes if they can, and get a bonus buff in happiness from potatoes.
• Backpacker: can carry one extra item with them.
• (Job name) at heart: will have preference to works as (Job name) and will auto take job if they can.
• Sweet tooth: sometimes will eat more.
• Speed runner: 5%+ plus speed.
• Swimmer: 10%+ speed in water.
• Not verry beaver-y: hates getting wet (unless it’s a shower) if wet then -5 speed for the rest of the day.
• Night Owl: will stay working 3hours late but will sleep in in the morning.
• Spiritual: preferers to visit shrines in free time over other things.
• Klutz: higher chance of injuring themselves.

El_Presidente MergedThere could be some type of little window (tbh I would change the game's UI, I don't really like it, although I would need to develop this on other suggestion perhaps) in which there are the "local news" as to say.
In this window, it would pop out text messages which would say:
"Beaver #18 has been infidel with his wife, and now the whole town knows!"
And if you click on the text, it would relocate you to where this has happened exactly, where there are some beavers maybe discussing or something like that.
This would also maybe add traits to the beavers as well, in order to make them more differentiate from one another.
To put an example: "Beaver #41 has come out as gay to his parents and they've said they will still love him no matter what" and then that beaver would get the trait of homosexual and so on, or maybe "Beaver #11 has gotten depression because of the lost of his friend."
It would be cool and add more dinamism to the beaver city, wouldn't it? -

carpii MergedThere should an incentive to keep pushing for more wellbeing for your beavers.
Right now you can look at a bonus, and decide it's not worth bothering with. You can keep your beavers at 'basic needs' level for the entire game, and suffer no real loss.
So my suggestion is to have a few beaver traits. These would be very rare (such as 100% wood chopping speed etc).
As the average wellbeing of your beavers increases, you gain a bigger chance to produce a beaver with a random rare trait.
But it would still be rare, like 1% chance or something, so it feels very special when you do birth one.
At the moment beavers all feel identical.
30 beavers die from thirst during a drought? Well who cares, the next 30 will be identical to the lost ones -

FuryoftheStars MergedI get the concept, but as right now it’s very difficult to corral a specific beaver to a specific job, so not sure it would work all that well without some other changes to the game.
