(not a) Bug: Ground is not irrigated despite water (Levee blocking irrigation?)

Bug occured on update 5 experimental.
Despite irrigating ground earlier suddenly water does not irrigate anything through levees. This started occuring recently, however it is consistent on all my saves suddenly (even before first encounter of the bug!).
No idea how to reproduce it. The only nonstandard thing that I did was starting playing Timberborn on steamdeck (experimental 5 as well) and this is when this gamesave corruption started. Before I was playing on my desktop computer and it was fine.
I will send saves through mail, I am attaching picture below.

However, I have played for hours with this and my fields have been fine and well watered until I loaded my save game?! Please see new picture. The new picture shows how it has played in the new experimental update with badwater. However, the latest save makes all the crops die when I load it up like in the first picture. I still think there is a bug? -

Aneska Deth MergedNevermind, you updated it again today, which is why it doesn't work anymore. Shame really as I still feel that water would irrigate at least a little bit because of the soil underneath the structure.

I'm facing to a weird soil irrigation. I'm not sure it is a bug or if it the expected behavior.
I tried to dig one height more deeper, but that did not change anything.
Breaking one dam element will solve the issue.
This is the only case found in mygame.

Edit : Understood. This water does not irrigate anything. I have 2 waters sources + a river that will surround this source. So it's works as expected -

Aevum Decessus MergedJust loaded up a save from yesterday, and all of my crops and trees just suddenly dried out simultaneously at the very beginning of a drought, even though there is 2+ layers of water in the canal system.
Player logs and save file sent in to logs email, as this didn't cause a crash-reporter crash -

VulpusTumultum MergedUpdate 5 Plains map I have had problems in a few places where the water I have trapped with levees and dams is not being recognized by the terrain as a source of irrigation. This is resulting in patches of land that should be usable for farming remaining dry and barren however full the nearby reservoir is.

adiantumThere should probably be some adjustment made so that ground in contact with water, even with a levee on top, still gets irrigated. That is what seems counterintuitive to many people with the new update.

I understand the idea to use Dams, Levees, and Floodgates to control the badwater's effect, but I think that effect would be controled in the same layer that you build the structure. I don't understand why the irrigation effect from the water can be reduce because I build a Levee in the top layer. The water is touching the ground layer at 100% of its face.
Please, reconsider the modification. -

Aneska DethI would suggest that if water is completely contained with leeves, then no/very slight irrigation can happen. However, if water is sitting on top of soil, it should irrigate under the leeve, but maybe not as much as it would have if the leeve was not present.:

Glamr Edhel MergedIt seems that in the newest experimental branch the soil is barely letting the water through.
Playing on a small map, making a levee wall next to the river causes dry terrain just on the other side of the wall - even if the water level behind the wall is several "levels" high. -
