Hard mode is boring (and tedious)
The beginning of the hard mode is fun and challenging. I am now in cycle 24 and it is just plain boring. The problem is not, that there would not be enough things to do. But there is now a cycle of 5 normal days and then between 20 and 30 days of either a draught or badwater flood. In these days, it is more or less a waiting game.
Can this be tweaked somehow?

Grey KyliaYou gotta make your own challenges for now in the endgame till they eventually add in their own storyline or objectives. That is if they ever decide to do so, they may not.
Simple objectives to focus on could be to just to get 10k food/water, 1k beavers, 10k wood/materials, 40+ wellbeing, stuff like that. Maybe challenge yourself with a 4 hour work day and see if your population can still survive.
Personally I often just set myself a challenge at the START of the game and reset at cycle 20 or until i complete the challenge. Always on hard, most recently I did a no research unlock untill I get the first monument built. Was tough, I lost due to lack of trees and had to checkerboard my tree cutting so I could naturally grow enough wood without the forester. Another thing i've done is no scavenger flag and get to 100 bots, only birch tree planting (i hated it, those trees are such garbage), and 8 hour work days. (not at the same time)
I called the last one the beaver union challenge. -

aUnrealUncivilEngineerAt some point the challenge could go from wet -> bad tide/drought -> wet to wet/bad tide -> drought -> wet/bad tide
This could allow for 2 + cycles of no water, this would need a new difficultly label as this would be beyond brutal if you are not prepped for the apocalypse
