Changes affecting the water dump trick also affect the functionality of other means of irrigation.
The changes to irrigation affecting the water dump trick have made irrigation harder. Previously, in the late game, I used 1 tile wide strips of water that the beavers walk on(using platforms) to irrigate medium to large size fields. I think this was an efficient method of irrigation as it could use just a mechanical water pump to irrigate a large area and all of the land and buildings in a district.

Even in early game with the new Bad Water feature where there is not enough clean water in the river to keep crops alive and not enough time for crops to grow back and produce food before Bad Water is back again, I had hoped to provide clean water with a water dump on blocks. This is not available now. -

DrumminWell I might survive by flooding the land if I can keep enough clean water on hand. But this waists more water (and land) than the original water irrigation tower.

Gin Fuyou AdminDrummin that was one of main points of update to disable dump and one tile trick. 3x3 reservoirs replace them now

DrumminOK, but it's not looking good. Not sure if I can can get enough water to put in that larger 3x3 block reservoir.

DrumminWell I did survive. I was down to 7 beavers left but the 3x3 block reservoir does seem to work. We'll see hope this next round goes.
