Just disappointed (new update)
I played this game since (almost) the beginning and now, after the new update, I seriously wondering why I should keep playing it...
I liked the idea of the bad water, but if you don't play for challenge (but just for fun(!), like me), you don't have any kind of alternative, because in every map there's now that brown soup that looks like waters straight from the sink. I wish there were at least one or two maps without it, so you could play it "the old way" (or make it optional).
On the other hand I'm not averse to trying out the new updates, especially since they initially have no effect on the game anyway. I actually think it brings in a little more action as the game progresses. But how do I come to the point where I can try it out, if I can't protect my plants from drying out, because there's no way to get water to the ground without some dynamite?! I don't understand, why you couldn't leave either the water tower or the (working!) water/fluid dump in the game. :/

Gin Fuyou AdminIrrigation tower was a settlement killer because it was catastrophically inefficient.

Dump system now "officically" replaces it, it was only balanced to remove 1x1 pool being so strong. -

thendarionI can confirm that fluid dumps still work except now you have to build a bigger pool for the same effect
you can set badtide chance to 0% and play a custom map if you want to forget that badwater existed at all
... though you need some badwater as resource to fully utilize the new tech tree -

BeaveroceneI had the same reaction at first, but in the end it's possible to adapt and love it.
The best technique I have found is to divert water sources during pollution, with dynamite dikes and sluices and patience, it is doable
