[bug] Pause icon shows above highest point in a cell, even when there is enough space
When a building is paused there is a hovering pause icon above it.
When there is some other building above the paused building, the pause icon will appear on the highest point in the cell. So it will show above top building.
So far this feels logical because it makes the pause icon more visible.
However, when you build way above a building using overhangs, the pause icon can show up 20 blocks higher, making it less visible.
Reproduction path:
1. Place a pauseable building
2. Build a tower of platforms beside it (like 20 blocks high)
3. Place overhangs above the pauseable building.
4. Pause the building
-> The pause icon will show above the overhangs.
In the image the numbercruncher is paused, but the pause icon is way above, making me wonder if i paused some construction.

this is to prevent you from trapping an icon in a void underneath where it's not visible. not a bug. -

Randoomed@Jcheung, For the general case i agree (its also mentioned in the original suggestion)
But, there are some situations where this becomes very confusing:
1. A building trapped in a void: now you see a random pause icon hovering which does not feel connected to any building
2. Multiple buildings above each other: there is a pause icon, what building does it belong to?
The screenshot kind of relates to both these cases, because without me pointing it out you wouldn't connect the pause icon to the numbercruncher below it.
I do expect this to be something with low priority to fix, as it is a minor confusion. -

Gin Fuyou AdminIt always worked liked that and it's intentional. Devs are aware that with overhangs this system become even more problematic, so it might be changed. But this is not a bug and I don't think it can be reasonably easily fixed

WillDefinitely looks like a bug. I thought my building wasn't pausing until I zoomed out.

KungFuShadowSame here, the gears factory is paused, but since there is a 3x3 windmill hitbox the pause button is way above the windmill on top, had me a little confused at first. It's not exactly game breaking, but it looks kind of silly and out of place.
Also, with the void undearneath, would that mean with stacked buildings the pause icon would be inside the bottom building, where it won't be visible at all?
Would there be an option to implement something like a 1/2/3x icon pause indicator in the same icon in the case of stacking buildings that are either paused or not -

tranquillityAgree something should be done about the pause icon. I've ended up in a situation where the icon is almost 10 squares above the pump
