windmills and other buildings with complex model is not placeable around edges or platforms

It appears windmills require all 8 adjacent squares to be the same level. I can't place a windmill ontop of a platform on a flat plain. I can't place a windmill at a cliff edge. I can place a windmill on a cliff edge if I build a platform to it's level adjacent to it.

A 3x3 or 5x5 platform can only be placed if middle square (the square one expects) and a specfic corner are supported.

Attached image: without the platform on the corner it is impossible to place the platform.

Certain buildings like windmill cant be placed or at least the game wont allow it due to the hitbox of the building. (The building before can be put in a 1x1 title) The red dot shows my mouse placement and was unable to put the windmill, it happened in cliffs as well. I've also notice im only able to place it if the windmill excess hitbox has tiles under it.

Large wind turbines or pumps cannot be installed.
Preview is not displayed.
Because the reason why it cannot be installed is not displayed either.
I don't know what I need to do in order to install them.

After the "2025-04-16 (experimental)" patch certain buildings can't be placed like normal in some cases, e.g. I can't placing a windmill atop a lone levee, but placing 4 levees in a square allow me to place it on one of them. I would guess the changes to 3D Terrain are to blame because the extra levees can be removed after placing the windmill without removing it as well.

After the last update (16/04/2025) I can't place buildings on top of platforms inside a cave. The buildings were there before, I deleted some of them and now I can't replace them. When hovering, the building doesn't even show (instead of showing a red or green building, like when I hover over terrain instead of platforms).

Gravity battery can not be placed on mountain edge. The battery does not show up, if there is no direct block below it.

I started a new game on experimental mode v0.7.5.0-04d3194-xsw with the Folktails on map ... 100x50 (forgot the map name).

Something happened and I can't build buildings entirely on platforms. I.E. water pump must sit on 2 blocks of solid ground and two blocks of platform, when I move mouse to build building entirely on 2x2 platform, it dissapears #bug

I want to place a gravity battery on two overhangs, one is 2x1, the other is 3x1 (see pictures).
When targeting middle of the 3x1 or the base of the 2x1, it allows me to place it so that the moving weight of the battery would rest on the last blocks of the overhangs as soon as energy is taken from it.
If I move the mouse to target one of the edges, the blueprint disappears and I can't place it.
The red dot on the images shows were the mouse is in each case.
The second image for me is a bug, I can't see what prevents me from placing it (tried with an other 2x1 building (detailer) and it allows to place it).
The case of the first image is probably expected behavior, but it would be nice QOL to show it yellow/orange (like when power output is blocked) because it would be useless in the place.

I cant place a gravity battery over a ledge, I'm playing on the experimental branch and thought it was worth reporting. Works fine in other places but if I try placing one with the left hand side of the weight (weight is closer to the camera than the frame) then the model disapears and clicking creates a beep sound.

I'm having trouble building vertically. Most recently, cannot place a 5x5 platform on top of any wooden platforms, unbuilt terrain blocks, or levees (I did some testing). I also tried to place one atop a barracks, no dice. Similar experience with the 3x3 - on the barracks, the 3x3 would turn green on only 2 of the possible 6 spaces. I included a screenshot of what I see when I try to place a 5x5 atop those wooden platforms. There is space around it, and nothing above it that could be in the way.

I will attach an image that might give you more info but in short in this specific location with contamination barriers near I cannot build a water pump on double platforms. On the other hand I can build on stacked single platforms with the same height. Could not build on triple platforms neither. I hoped that I could attach 2 images, also one with stacked platforms, but it seems I couldn't. I tried to build a forester and a medium tank on the double platform and that went well so it seems to be just the water pump.

On the current experimental build, the Mechanical Fluid Pump can only be placed 1 block above where the water sits and no further. Unable to pump water higher (e.g. up a mountainside) because the amount of resources and space needed as it currently is would be kind of astronomical.

As of the most recent experimental branch update, windmills can no longer be placed at edges of cliffs, edges on the tops of storage, edges of overhangs, one-tile wide platform lines, and so on.

Just tried adding to my battery network but I can't place any new batteries on top of platforms, wood or metal. I can place them on the ground but not on raised platforms of any kind. Mac M1Max v0.7.5.04d3194

After today's update to experimental, metal platforms will not long connect to wood platforms, metal overhangs, or vertical columns of dirt. Is this an intentional change? Connecting a 3x3 or 5x5 platform one block off flat ground does not make since.

I am playing on the experimental branch. When attempting to place large windmills, it appears that they will not allow placement due to orientation. I had to place extra platforms, then place the windmills, then delete the platforms.

when i loaded the game today have issues placing mechanical fluid pumps on levees. found a work around by placing levees on the back and front of the pump placement area exluding the center spots for water pull and dump then removing the levees after its placed. the pump wont even show up on certain rotations. water depth was 5 tiles on draw side and 1 tile on dump side.

Since the latest fix I've been unable to place water pumps and a few other buildings on tier 2 and 3 platforms. They can be placed on the ground, on tier 1 platforms and on other buildings but not on tier 2 and 3 platforms unless half of the pump is on a tier 1 platform or another solid block.

I can't figure out why but buildings such as deep water/deep bad water pumps and double showers wont even give the option to place the building on any type of platform that's more that one tile off the floor, however stacking two single platforms will allow you to do so.

Ive come along a bug that includes the metal platforms. Apparently I cannot place them on wooden platforms anymore. I've read the bug fixes and updates and I didn't come across any mentions of such "feature". If its a feature please let us know and if its a bug I hope I helped.
