What if you make it more fragrant? With bright green colours and the homes or the buildings look different, depending the wood-type? Or you add mutated wood, or your own creation to the mix?

Peter34The game does have a somewhat muted colour palette. I like that as a general thing. It makes me perceive a game as "more adult and serious".
However, adding the possibility of "splashes" of colour could make the game prettier, like bigger more vivid flowers (perhaps decorative cherry trees that sometimes bloom?), colourful drapes of cloth to decorate homes or other buildings, maybe blingy silvery metal decorations that glitter and reflect light?
