Separate Working Hours for jobs or buildings, individual schedule
I'd like the ability to set differing work hours for things. For instance: I want all the beavers to work for 16 hours, and spend the rest of their time having fun and making more beavers. As for the farmers and water pump workers...unfortunately for them l would work them for 24 hours.

There are some cases where I may want to work, for instance, my lumbar mills more than the rest of my buildings. Allowing me to schedule them to work 20 hour days while leaving everything else on 16 would be nice.
A REALLY useful (and maybe easy to implement?) schedule feature would be to give us a few checkboxes where we can tell a building to shut down during droughts, or during the wet season.
There are plenty of reasons to want to limit activity based on that. -

PurserI second this, but my priority is setting different working hours for different districts. When my main settlement is established they don't need to work too hard, but starting new settlements sometimes I need those ones to work longer, but currently this also affects my main settlement.

FuryoftheStarsAdditionally, combine this with the idea of multiple shifts, as working the same beaver for 24hrs multiple days straight would be bad.

Andres MergedI would really appreciate if, you could set specific Workhours to specific Buildings. For Example: If I need some water because I am running low on it,I dlike to put the water pumps on a higher workload, not the entire population of my lovely beavers.

Different basic working hours per district.
Different working hours per job (this I'd need most!)
Perhaps even for different buildings of the same profession, but I can see this is a lot more to implement than the 2 forementioned options, so I'll just put it on my Santa's list... ;)
So that would be a lot of buttons one can push to get everything in unorder. :-D Maybe a few "Sync"-Checkboxes would then come in handy, for example in the District Center: "Sync" or "Reset all working hours in this District" plus "Sync all w.h. in whole settlement".
Or something like this. -

Anton Merged- Make it possible to assign worktime to single buildings or buildings of type. Like "drought is coming, pumps work longer today".
- Give options what idle beavers should do. Like build, carry things, plant or harvest stuff, have fun or all of it.
- Emergency shifts. Noone rests until a very important building is fineished. A handy feature to finish the last section of dam. -

DeadSquirrel6 MergedSeriously, I like the work hour idea, and I always try to give my beavers plenty of leisure time, but that water isn't going to pump itself. And yeah, I have 4,932 potatoes, so those farmers need to take a break, but I could really use an evening and a night shift at the grill and bakery. Oh, and my observatory only works during the day, so dozens of beavers have been suffering from permanent eye damage! If only there was a time when they could work when the sun wasn't bombarding their retinas!
Seriously, though, if there's any one thing I could ask to be put in the game, it's the ability to have multiple shifts per building, and custom work hours. It's almost essential in a game about logistics and resource management. -

MK MergedI hate right before a drought making everyone work a 20+ hour day when it's really the water pumps and farms that need the attention, and not the... scrap haulers. Just like you prioritize for hauling, should be able to add work hours in that dialog box.

Viral MergedI'd like to be able to adjust certain buildings to have longer work hours than others/ maybe just by building type, I use a lot of haulers (partially to make thing more efficient and partially to fill unemployment till I have more permanent jobs to be filled) but they can never get off their job soon enough to get social time which drives my happiness meter down a lot! Could also just use a setting that says, closes x hours sooner than district hours or something similar

The ability to set the work hours per building or building type.
E.g could have a water pump set to 6 hours. The beaver would then do idle tasks for the rest of the day.
Could also set all building types to the same time.
Could work with shift requests like the following
E.g water pump set to 24 hours
Beaver works till tired threshold hit.
If any free beavers, they take the spot
If none, job left empty untill beaver is not tired -

Big beaverThis would be great for the Numbercruncher building, for example. This is power intensive but can run 24 hours a day, so it would be good to be able to set it to run only at night so you can save power for other buildings during the day

Liam MergedIt would be really cool to have an option to give certain jobs different working hours. So if you wanted one beaver to work really long hours because you need a lot of one resource like dynamite, gears, or steel, they could work longer than any other beaver. So the default stays as 16 hours but specific jobs could have to go 18 hours or maybe shorter if you don't need them to do a lot.

TonyC MergedCertain buildings such as wind tunnels motivatorium etc. should have configurable working hours. For example, you could have a wind tunnel set to pause during the day to save power while beavers are busy to save power but then it would unpause during the evening for beavers to visit. A similar thing could also be said for example if there is a plank surplus, you could reduce the working hours of the lumber mill by itself and free up some beavers at certain times to work on other things.

If you have a shortage of water you can put the water pumps to emergency so that beavers work without stopping. -

jesi Mergedi think that it would be a really good idea to have different lobs go for longer like a farmer could watch crops over night but a builder clocks out at sunset and that way you have a bit more control :)
