add a library building that functions like an advanced inventor. Maybe it employs more beavers, needs books to build. Higher science output than inventor

RyvreMy suggestion along these lines is to have the main science building be larger, more expensive, partly in the water, and able to employ maybe 4 in one building. Or potentially different science buildings to unlock different types of construction.

ThefirewardeI'd like to see a library that functions while full of books and acts as a book warehouse. It might unlock higher tier research or give a bonus to science buildings. The library would also give an education bonus or similar to the general population/guests (like the temple), and it would require one staff member to operate.

Gin Fuyou AdminIf advanced science building is more efficient than inventors hut, I think it would be a good move to make it increase the hut output so it doesn't become useless. Something like "research coordination center" (functionally): +6 science per job and x2 science production for up to 3 inventor huts in the district.

jon MergedI love the game, weirdly addicting . I think It would benefit from a powered science facility, something that generates points at a higher rate than the standard, unpowered one.

Xavius MergedLaboratory would be a later-stage replacement for the existing Inventor building; having a large footprint, solid roof, and requiring power input, water, and paper with which to perform SCIENCE, this building can host up to four beavers working to advance the colony and provide research points at a significantly improved rate over four beavers doing this work in four Inventor buildings.
As it currently stands, some of the late, late game items take a very long time with a very large number of Inventors running to get to them, and this would help speed that process up at the cost of materials and a fair amount of research points invested. -

Bryan Wenzelone small suggested change: consumes books to produce science rather than requires books to build the building. Produces more science for same time period then the basic inventor does, but costs books.

Jimbo JamboThere is actually an observatory in the game files, but it appears to give beavers "knowledge" similar to books, and it seats eight. I don't know if it's planned or was scrapped.
Nighttime science sounds really cool, but all beavers sleep at night with normal working hours, so I don't know how it would work. -

NatI'm making books and a library would be a great place to put then instead of taking up space in a warehouse. Id love to have a cute little library building, and all the books would go in it, up to a set amount of like 500
