Split High Power Shaft into horizontal-to-vertical shaft turns and straight vertical power shafts
Right now you can only transfer power vertically only one step at a time without ability to horizontally rotate shaft stack output in relation to input (output always opposes input). To transfer power between three and more level you need to build cascade of High Power Shafts with significant footprint.
I suggest splitting High Power Shaft into stackable basic components (horizontal-to-vertical and vertical-to-horizontal turns, vertical shaft). It will simplify transfering power between various different heights in tight spots and make overall construction neater.

jcheungpersonally speaking, i'd rather it be new structures leaving the existing one.
meanwhile, you can just build a bunch of lodges on top of each other and that would transfer just as well :D -

Thaina YuAdditional for my proposal about mirror building. https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/215341/
The vertical shaft could just be "variation" of normal shaft. Such as L shape shaft could be togger to upward or downward too. T and X shape could be toggle to vertical and horizontal
With this we have the key to switch variation of various things -

woubucYeah, a way to transfer power straight up several levels instead of going in steps would be really useful.

Evan Gannon MergedSince buildings with a flat top like warehouses are able to carry power to adjacent buildings, it would be great to have a power connection that goes at a 90 degree angle from the ground so that you could connect a building that was above and to the side by 1 square. There could also be a type of platform with a power tap that let's you pull/add power from/to a building on top of it.

Erick VieiraIt would be really awesome! I've posted something like this on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Timberborn/comments/q80i7k/it_would_be_nice_if_gears_could_rotate_on_z_axis/

ThagustaI agree. An L-shape vertical for power would save me a lot of pain connecting buildings that need power...
This way I would be able to build all the electrics in one level and build the factories on top <3 -

NeffsterI just want to be able to bring power up under a building to clean up asthetics so jus the "L" shaped shaft is enough for me

WhiteRoo MergedRecently I have started building my power shafts underground into a series of dynamited holes with a platform above it. This is very useful, because power shaft on the ground level act as a barrier, while I can put paths on the platforms above them, and the holes can pull double-duty as canals.
For this setup, a power shaft part that can transfer power onto the building above it would be tremendously useful. Also if it could take power from a windmill or engine above, that would be nice.
The different pieces are a nice touch, but it would be nice if you could upgrade the straight piece into a T or an X, and vice-versa. Or just remove those and make the power shafts auto-adjust depending on the power shaft pieces around it. -

KatotsuI came to the suggestions page just to make this one. You even got my split and bonus vertical shaft ideas in here!

Renato Ferreira MergedHi! First of all I must congratulate you for the game, it is really very interesting and holds you for several hours, mainly because you can stack buildings, until today I had not seen anything like =D
I'm just really missing vertical power connections that also have more than one side of the snapping gear position, as well as the others...I'm not in the endgame yet, so for now that's it ^^ in advance thanks for the Warning!! -

Mark TaylorI'd like to see pieces that just turn and/or go straight up/down so we come up under our buildings - I'd prefer to hide all my power underground. I build sewers under all my paths for water drainage, and then I could just run the power through those as well.

GOJIRU MergedIt would be nice if you had a gear that pointed up, so when I sat a building onto it, it would be powered. So powered thru the floor, not just the sides.

Luke MergedThe high-power shaft only transmits power in one direction (forward). There are plenty of cases where a player would want to transmit power up and to the left, right, or opposite directions. Without more configurations, if you want to link power shafts from one level to a tile up and to the left, players need to use a high-power shaft along with two extra shafts to redirect the power on the next level. Having three more possible directions (up and to the left, up and to the right, and up and to the rear) would save critical space for power shaft systems. Additionally, a straight power shaft that points upward/downward would allow players to build a power shaft that extends straight up over multiple levels.

Jaco3011Maybe make all shaft into one, that would flex like redstone, but in 3D?

Castor MergedVerticle Power Shafts/turbines to enable diverting power to differing levels of topography without the need for gradual "sloped" power shafts. i.e- power running on top of platforms. in consecutive "steps"
