  I don't think this needs much more description than is in the title - but it's obvious how much longevity user-created content can add to a game. And that a passionate fanbase can be an almost inexhaustible well.

  Waterfall, mod usage is not linked to steam. Steam workshop is just a convenient way to get them. Also TImberborn mods are already a thing.

  I mean that the mods should not be available exclusively in the Steam Workshop.
  
  I think about a separate platform for the mods, such as with Factorio.

  Adding Mod support for the game through Steam would add a lot more playability for this game. I know Space Engineers thrives on moding.

  I adore this game but I play it so much, I've done all the maps a million times each, and I'm no good at making my own. I'd love a quick easy way to download maps made by other players such as the Steam workshop.

  I think mods shold be on an external platform like mod.io, so people who play on GOG or Epic Games (like me) can also easily use mods.

  15emails, exactly mod.io is now being considered and discussed with community. You can join official discord server (you can find link in the game) to comment on it. It doesn't cancel plans to support Steam Workshop, that will probably happen later.

  The Steam Workshop isn't available for players like me, who bought the game on GOG (or other platforms).
  Please don't make us second class citizen - implement platform-agnostic mod support instead. You still don't need to do the mod hosting and management yourself - Nexusmods and Vortex exist, are reliable and available for anyone to use no matter where they bought the game.

  Oktokolo, Timberborn is already using Mod.io and as I know built-in mod manager is in the works. Steam workshop would just be an extra familiar to Steam users

  Game ended up getting boring without being able to access the mods. Counting down the days to be able to access them on Steam and feel excited to be back into playing again.

  i play to "Kenshi" ONLY thanks to Moders ! they have make a mods for u can play it with an old computer, and its really intersting to see what all can do, and can personalize our game with ur specific mods. im ++ for it !
  But ! personaly i have Timberborn on GOG galaxy...
  and : i have send my timberborn in Steam for "secure launch" ... with this, can i wil use steam workshop ? :o

  Is this still being considered? I see the mods.io software being pushed on the Steam community hub, but I am reluctant to install this community created software on my system. The mods actually look great and would love to get back into this game. I just don't have a high trust level for the third party mod software and would prefer something integrated into the game itself.

  Tooth Fairy, mod software is almost always third-party, steam workshop hardly change anything in this aspect. Mod.io Timberborn hub is official, we encourage using it while keeping in mind only mod creators are responsible for how it affects the game operation.
  I believe Steam Workshop is pretty much certain, but it won't come until considerably later.

  NAh steam workshop sucks and does not work well, I think its better to leave it to the devs to make a mod manager like they have for Satisfactory, kerbal space program they have decent mod managers and even can fix dependancies and they where made by modders and work well and far better than the steamworkshop, the issue with steamworkshop is steam it self with them often removing mods or changing the location of the mods or just stuffing around when they want to and delete stuff. So yeah i support 3rd party more than anything else or even a built in mod manager where you just have a folder and dump zips.
