Independent district work hours - separate job schedules
it would be nice to have changeable working hours depending on the district (ie if one district farms a lot have them work 18 hrs while other districts could work 12 hrs etc) leaving it up to the player

RevThis would be great for our larger maps with multiple districts. Often I only want one district to work overtime and it would be easy to set them all back to the same work hours from the "Global" tab.

darkAco MergedAs title says, I would like to have e.g. one disctrict on 12hrs, while keeping others at 16hrs.
It is a minor thing and not of high importance, but would be nice to have.
Edit: ahh, sorry, I just found a similar suggestion on here. Sadly there is no way to delete this one, so probably just merge it or ignore it. -

Thomas MergedRight now, we have working hours that can be changed as a whole using the clock in the top right: 10 hours, 14 hours, etc., that affect all districts. It would give much more control over well-being and productivity if we could change working hours on a per-district basis. Perhaps you could access a menu in the District Center that allows you to change the hours beavers work in that district only. Bells for the Iron Teeth would ring for only their district's start and end of working time. This would make it easy to manage colonies without overworking your central district at the same time.

Quaxadvanced districts should have the ability to set high leisure time, while new founded distritcs should focus on early development, that needs more work. They also they just don't have the infrastructure to use leisure time well. So, absolutly a vote up.

InspireMe7 (M.A.) MergedOne thing i noticed when i finally used Robots was that i now had a mostly Mechanized Capital in the Middle where Beavers barely needed to work anymore and a few Outer Villages that still needed to develop and needed to work a lot. So i thought:

Karin Tippett MergedAfter building the original district and branching out, the first district does not need to be on 16 hour days like a new district would need to get the work done. The first district inhabitants should be a chance to relax a bit or would that not work since they do move between districts? They would need to have distinct home and work assignments within the district.

Even better, the working time could be adapted according to each building in a district (by default, it would be the working time of the district itself). -

Petko MergedWhen setting up specialized districts with little to no entertainment, it would be beneficial to be able to set a different workhours for that district to keep the beavers in that distrcit busy while beavers in other distrcts can use more free time to increase their wellbeing.

NacoranIt would be nice to set shifts. You could treat one shift as the favorite shift (most people like dayshifts) and give a small debuff to workers not working on the favorite shift, but it would let you keep some critical buildings going 24/7. Set up the shifts in the buildings and beavers without jobs would take later shifts. Maybe your colony only works the bakery during the day, but you keep the pump station running constantly. This would let you get more use out of limited infrastructure.

This will effectively allow you to change working hours as needed in different districts, so there would be a global working hour, and every district will follow the set working hours unless otherwise stipulated individually per district.

Jude Johnson MergedIt'd be great to be able to determine what time the workday starts and ends for each district.
This would allow a lot of flexibility.
Examples:
- A farming district could be set to work a longer day ahead of a bad tide.
- A beaver district could have short workdays while a bot district works around the clock.
- A power grid could be shared by two districts who don't use it at the same time.
