map modes/map overlays

Would be useful to have various map modes, or map overlays which would provide such info as :
-power "grid" showing production places, consumption places and energy transportation
-water flow
-land altitude
-districts maps

I would also love to see a grid line overlay as well.

Yes yes to the grid overlay!! It would help when planning building placements.

Yes I started playing and after a few minutes I was looking for a "Show Grid" option. Also seeing the different levels of terrain altitude would be a good addition
