Thelightcosine MergedImplementing something like a Tesla-valve or a flap-valve would be immensely useful for building systems to equalize water levels.

Mikael MergedThere should be a One-Way-Dam / One-way-water-door. I would pay a lot of research points for that. They have them at every coast at the north sea. It is a door, that opens only one way. If the water comes in at high tide, it closes and opens when the water is running out. It would save a lot of dam managment in the game at the dry season.

Pierre MergedA levee variation which would block the water flow in one direction only. This would greatly help managing water reservoir level.
The water could flow from one side of the levee to the opposite side or from three sides to the last one (see image).
Considering the actual implementation of water in the game, all structures could be placed on top of this levee variation, except a standard levee. -

Peter Hazlewood100% agree with this. The water mechanic is what makes Timberborn really unique but the lack of one-way valves, for example, makes manipulating the water more difficult and a lot less fun than it could be.

Zack+1: I have repeatedly had my irrigation ditches dry out because I forgot to close the floodgate connecting them to the river at the beginning of the dry season. Also, it's very difficult to ensure that you have loaded as much water into your reservoir as possible without any form of one-way valve (yes, I could use water dumps or mechanical water pumps more heavily).
