Auto Pause on selected events (starvation, building complete, unemployed, cycle ends, start of day)
Timberborn requires too much attention to catch important events which the player would want to react to quickly. As a player I want to be able to setup the next build orders then look away from the screen while awaiting the completion of my orders. The game should pause automatically on key events (player may enable/disable which events). For example: pause on death due to starvation or thirst. pause at end of cycle. pause when prioritized buildings are complete. pause when a beaver becomes unemployed. You get the idea. This would make the game very playable for busy multi-tasking players.

Ryvre MergedCurrently it is difficult to notice if someone is hungry, thirsty, homeless, or unemployed. It would be helpful if there was both a notification and autopause option for these conditions.

Gin FuyouPausing on building \ unemployment would really make a game a living hell, I wouldn't consider it even as an option. Others are more reasonable.

Jacob M MergedHi
I play this game with no/low sound, and often miss the audible notification of dry season. An opt-in setting causing game interrupt/pause/notification on the 3-day warning would be awesome!
Cheers! -

Nick Hulse MergedAbility to set alerts that may possibly pause the game while in triple speed. So as to allow farming and construction to happen in time-lapse phases but not allow beavers to die out if something happens. I also forget to take care of things while I'm in a big construction project. These alerts might save a few million beavers in my games alone.....

San MergedI've played some games that look a bit like this one. I really like the feature when the game is stopping the fast speed whenever there is something big happening that could be a disaster. Like the water running out, or the food running out. Anything that gives the beavers a sign above their head. Could be usefull in this game aswell I think?

sdynet MergedAs I focus on construction, I don't often notice the cycle has changed. It's even more so when I'm listening to a song that's not a game BGM. Because of that, the floodgate is not properly adjusted, so there is a water crisis. For easy recognition, I would like to add a function that automatically pauses when the cycle changes in the Options window.

wilyswordThe new badtides make this even more useful, since usually you'll want to set some floodgates when a badtide starts. I keep missing them because I get focused on other stuff.

H.K. MergedRight now it's too easy to miss when the seasons change, and thus you may end up shifting your water management when a bad tide occurs or a drought ends. If there was an option to pause the game, with a popup and an "ok" button, this would fix it.

Darcy MergedI like to let my beavers run at 3x speed in the background while I do other things... has bitten me in the, uh, butt, more than once. Would appreciate an optional autopause toggle for those of us who'd like to catch the badtide/droughts when they arrive. Optional bc I'm sure a lot of people don't mind being punished for being slack like me, lol. (Alternative suggestion: it being a thing only for easy/normal difficulty?)
(Thanks for the great game btw, been a while since I was really able to get into something, but I'm enjoying my beavers! <3) -
