Mushroom Farming
New building for mushroom farming. Takes water to operate. Stackable, no sunlight needed. Mushrooms provide food, but are not very nutritious. Mushroom farming is also not very worker or space efficient.
The idea behind this building is to have some way of getting more food when you are out of land to farm. You are still limited by needing water, so it doesn't remove all challenge. But larger populations can be supported by stacking a bunch of mushroom farms.

Gin Fuyou AdminI'd first of all would love to see wild mushrooms spawning in the forests to be gathered, but this idea also looks nice, specifically stackable part, since we don't have a variety in solid buildings now, my support.
Any idea how building should look like? -

cjet79I googled what mushroom farms look like today, and it already matches the aesthetic of the game. Some of them just look like stacks of logs outside. Others just look like rough wooden shelving inside. But since its a solid building, nothing happening inside really needs to be displayed. I think reusing the rough wood appearance of the district center and adding a few mushrooms peaking out between planks would fit in really well.

Beaver BaristaI envision a 3x3 building, 2x3 of it is solid, 1x3 has to be placed on ground. The 1x3 row is mushroom logs like cjet79 describes. Like this: https://7s004nahif-flywheel.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/mushrooms.jpg

NifegunI think this is an opportunity for something the game currently lacks. A gatherable farmable. its interesting to me that beavers can just magically produce all the seeds they do have access too. but I guess they do need to have something or the games difficulty and map creation both become much more difficult. But what if mushrooms are on the map. say the grow on or near certain trees or map features and you need a bunch of them to make a farm. So you have to build too it, gather it, and then you can start farming it.

magermhThe building would have to be a 4x4 and be able to be place on rooftops as a vertical farm. It would just be a solo log useful to make mushroom and would have interactions with gathering flag. It could be animated with a single large mushroom for stages of growth. Your getting 4 mushrooms a shot. Each faction would do something different and has a bosting effect of strength "STR" for Folk or Speed "SPD" for Iron Teeth. Because I need hyper haulers for my Iron Teeth processing it with a healer building for food mash.

cjet79Its really awesome to see a suggestion I made get turned into a game feature! I loaded up a new map to play the Ironteeth, and had fun building some tall vertical mushroom farms. I like the way it was balanced with time/efficiency being the main limiting factor of the farms.
