Acorn Kin faction
I suggest a new faction built upon many of the basic ideas of the existing factions.
However they are a kind of religious faction that worships the Oak tree.
To reproduce their houses need to be within range of an Acorn Shrine. (Something small, say similar to size and range of effect of the beehive)
They get a special Oak Temple (this could give the district a production boost, but it must be supplied with water. Could be really dark and have Beavers die if the Temple doesn't have water supply. Message in the log could be "<Name> died due to loss of hope". [But that is pretty dark]. Could also require an offering of food at the temple before a drought)
They could also be able to plant Oak trees, they would take slightly longer than Maple to grow, but provide 4 wood (compared to 3 from maple)

ChipmunkDavyApologies, wood should be 8 from Maple, so Oak should produce 10.

TheGreatJeffonceThis seems like a pretty good idea, though the wood surplus combined with the difficulty to expand caused by the need for certain buildings to be near each other and the extra death caused by drought might hinder your gameplay, having to be extra cautious to not instantly die but have a boatload of wood you want to aggressively expand with. I might be wrong though, I have only watched YouTube on the game.

FireballFilmsi love the idea of a new faction based more around the spiritual stuff i feel like that stuff often gets overlooked in this game. I also like the idea of them having shrines that require water to add more challenge.
