Increasing a building's priority should automatically increase its supports' priorities
For example, if I built water pumps on some platforms in a lake and I increase the priority of building the water pumps, it should automatically increase the priorities of building the supporting platforms. I don't want my beavers dying of thirst because, even though the pumps are high priority, the platforms are at the same priority as a carousel and they're building the carousel first for whatever reason.
It makes more sense to me that prioritizing a building implies that everything needed to support that building should also be prioritized. The mass-select priority tool is helpful in that it can increase the priorities of multiple builds at once, but it only highlights upward and not downward; so if the supports are deep down it gets a bit awkward trying to prioritize them from under everything else (I either clip the camera underground or use the z-height slice hiding tool in the upper right).

FuryoftheStarsI can support this in regard to the priority tool. However, if I go into the building’s interface and change its priority there, I want only that building to be affected, not anything it’s sitting on (or anything sitting on it).

Richard@FuryoftheStars forgive my ignorance, but what would be the benefit of being able to prioritise construction of a building without automatically applying the same priority to its support structures? If you want to *reduce* the priority, then that makes sense I suppose, but if you're increasing the priority for say... a lumber mill that's on platforms (which are also pending construction), wouldn't you want the platforms to automatically inherit the same increased priority?

Not a beaver Merged"Right now when you use the priority tool, it automatically includes any items on top of what you prioritize, but it should do the opposite. If it automatically included items below what you highlight, it would go a long way to helping new players with the games building logic."
