negative beavers counts: unemployed, homeless, etc
I had two districts. I paused the game and then accidentally deleted one of the district centers. So then I placed another district center at the same location. after clicking on it it showed -27 unemployed beavers. After unpausing the game it went away.

today 04 january 2026 i begin a game and see a never seen bug (for me) ; all the beavers are sleeping in house but some of them are count as homeless. French version on steam.
Pardon me ; after one night sleeping at home they are OK.
I dont know how to destroy this comment. -

Kaylee Hirsch MergedI made several quick redistricting changes while paused while building a dam quite far downstream from the rest of my city, and I managed to end up with a visual bug displaying a negative number of unemployed beavers for the resultant district.
The beavers themselves seem suspiciously positive about the whole situation, and continue to work without complaint.
The negative number disappeared as soon as I unpaused. -

There are -1 homeless in District 14.
I don't know what happened. I was just transferring some beavers from District 12 to District 14.
Maybe it's some kind of timing issue where a beaver grew up at a bad time or so.
I haven't seen a negative number appear like that before.

Darwin MergedOne of my neighbourhoods has 13 beavers but 15 occupied beds for a homeless count of -2 !
Examining the houses I find 13 adults and 2 children, so the issue seems to be due to the children in this district not being counted in the UI. -

Removing a district center and replacing it turned the number of homeless to Negative x Population in district.
(Only managed to get it when on pause)
Resolves itself* after a few seconds when games is unpaused.
Should be repeatable.
That's one way to do it; no clue if that is the only way to "get" negative pop numbers.
Edit: "Resolves itself" means, negative homeless slowly "trickles" into "Positive" housed as "new available beds" trickle in from district updating after unpausing.
Slowly = ~1-2 seconds on 3x speed, didn't test other time speeds. -

Mazianni MergedWhen automatic migration occurs, negative homeless are applied to the origin district and positive homeless are applied to the destination district. This is a race condition because, after a period of time, the homeless will be assigned to available housing.

Mazianni MergedThis is district 2 showing negative two homeless beavers. Globally it shows zero beavers, and as the previous screen shows, it shows positive two homeless in district 1 even though there are available beds.
The automatic migration is happening because (as shown in the previous screen), I have set District 2 to migrate beavers to District 1 when there are more than 20 beavers (and when District 1 is below the required 100 beavers...)
I've watched this happen three times. It (fairly quickly) resolves itself, but it's a race condition (related to beaver migration) that's causing a temporary visual bug.

Gerard VegaI have two districts in my game. I got a negative homeless number on my first district and it also says I have one more occupied bed than I have beavers available in the district. In my other district, I have the opposite problem with it saying I have one more beaver than I have occupied beds and 1 homeless beaver.
