Faction Idea - Greenpaws (Nature / Naturalist / Environmentalis / Tree-climibing Faction)
Beavers who have forsaken the ground to live in the trees.
- Great Tree - A tree that takes 120 days to grow and adds 1 block in height to itself every 10 days. Placed like a regular building. Buildings built in the great tree are counted as connected vertically for path finding.
- Arborist - Replacement for forester and log cutter. Unlocked at the start and doesn't require wood. Trees are not cut down, they are harvested when fully grown, which returns them to their halfway growth point and provides half their timber rounded up.
- Treehouse - Housing for two beavers. Must be built in the great tree. No other housing.
- Treestow - Storage for 200 items. Must be built in the great tree. No other storage.
- Treebridge - Must be built in the great tree. Provides a platform on all four sides at the height it is built on the great tree. (Bridges can be built off them).
- Love Garden - Produces beaver children once per day so long as adult beavers visit it.
Other buildings could be in tree

It could be non-linear growth.

DubeyThe entire premise behind this one is you create a forest of giant trees which the beavers hollow out and live in.

Sampsonthat sounds pretty neat, but i have concerns about industry and expansion. How do you go about making more trees? 120 days is a really REALLY long time between getting more space to expand. What would happen if you flooded it? purposely dried it up? could you cut it down for a stupid amount of wood, and what if it was in the wrong area? how would you get from level to level and tree to tree? is that their only housing option, and how big is it? there are many questions. Again, really like the idea, but there are many things to work out.

LanceI'll piggy back on yours, my faction idea was 'Hippie' beavers, essentially. They can grow and build from Hemp instead of trees. They'd also have access to unique berries and maybe even mushrooms. Basic premise is to work alongside nature

LillieDoes each block the great tree grows add more space for expansion? Because I feel like it would be very limiting on how much you can expand otherwise. But I really like the idea of tree beavers that build bridges and don't touch the ground unless they have to gather things like wood or water.

Pelopolo MergedIt would be nice to get a new breed of beaver being connected with nature. Getting their energy from trees for eg.

Medicshy MergedGreenpaw beavers believe firmly in getting to the root of any problem. With their feet firmly planted, they can harvest a brighter tomorrow.
I imagine this faction as one that uses metal sparingly, but for very key items. They wouldn't have a digging machine, collecting dirt by hand and moving it one block at a time, nor a centrifuge, instead using a large boiling tub/cauldron to turn badwater into extract at the cost of logs. Perhaps an aesthetic bonus for trees/plants along the path, and more berries and gathered foods with very little COOKED, though a lot prepared.
I could also see an almost mystic element to it, infusing extract into plants or buildings for much of their power generation and creation, essentially supercharging the plants with a goal to turn the whole world green again. -
